RIP Soul Flyers

At 36, Vince Reffet was passionate about free fall and skydiving and was considered a pioneer of the wingsuit. It was finally in Jetman that his career ended. A fatal accident allegedly occurred during one of his training sessions. Last February, he had achieved a real human feat by taking off from the ground in a Jetman using a rigid carbon wing and four mini-reactors (see video below). A colossal advance that has made it possible to move towards the prospect of 100% autonomous human flight.

Chuck Yeager is an aviation legend.

Died on December 7, 2020, a short video to look back on the exceptional journey of a man who perfectly embodies the finest values of the air.

From the US to England, to France, Spain, Germany, Asia, Pakistan; flight tests, vietnam and general aviation records ...

about the video on the glider ...

It's time to talk about the 178s rule and learn from this video which has the potential to save many lives - pilots, passengers and also on the ground!

Great thank you for sharing this analysis (even if as a microlight and free flight pilot I learned a lot personally except the rule of 178s ... he could have explained more precisely what happened at the level of the incident: we see the strand of wool which panics before the incident) ...

Obviously in VFR we CANNOT fly in the clouds ... it is THE BASE ...

But some volivolists do it all the same ...

It reminds me of this anecdote from a glider pilot friend who heard on the radio: "I can't fit in this cloud, there is too much wood in it!" ... : Mrgreen:

It is not the speed of the drone that causes this but of the plane obviously ...
