Didn't you mention it?
SATURDAY APRIL 4, 2009, NO PURCHASE day !!! - Other countries have already done so. And they succeeded in lowering the price of pasta for Italy. Two days of shopping strike was enough to reverse the huge increase in pasta prices.
Same action in Lebanon for the price of bread, the day after the shopping strike, the price of bread returned to its old price.
PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIONAL MOVEMENT SATURDAY APRIL 4, 2009.
THE GOVERNMENT AND THE GRAND FINANCIERS OF THIS COUNTRY WILL REMEMBER:
You are all invited, on this day, not to buy ANYTHING especially:
- PETROL, GASOIL, TOBACCO
- GAMES OF CHANCE (all games of French games)
- ALCOHOL
- BOYCOTT DE LA GRANDE DISTRIBUTION (except small local shops)
- TRY NOT TO BE VERBALIZED (speed cameras, red lights, stops, parking ...)
With a minimum of organization, we can all do it.
Imagine the impact this national solidarity movement could have.
This action will be and for sure, more effective than any strike or demonstration !!!
THIS ACTION WILL CHANGE THINGS; BROADCAST THIS EMAIL TO ... ALL YOUR INTERNET CONTACTS ... MAKE QUICKLY, the date will soon arrive. PREVENT YOUR FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES, FAMILIES ... who, in turn, will warn their friends, families etc.
THE SNOWBALL EFFECT WILL BE NATURALLY.
Let us use the Internet, this wonderful invention.
LET US HELP and we will push back the dear life.
Don't say "it won't help". Observe the reactions observed on April 5 thanks to you, thanks to us.
Stop complaining and TAKE ACTION.

4 April: the day without purchase
Excellent initiative. Should modulate by product of which something is abusive (price, quality, bad targeting, anti ecological, anti social (which loses its cool) etc ...) and by only 1 day per year but when it is the season for the adapted time.
Some examples of applications:
- The day without tongues in the shits.
- The week without anti-ecological cars
- The month without chemical fertilizer.
- The month without pesticides.
- The year without food chemistry.
- The year without hormones for livestock.
- The millennium without GMOs
- Eternity without war. (can be a little optimistic anyway).
- Etc ....

Sorry, but this morning I bought:
- orange juice for my breakfast at the grocer's shop in front of my house
then later in the morning, at the market under the hall
- organic bread and vegetables on the stand of a farmer-baker friend
- goat cheese tourtons for my meal tonight (miaaam, it's good ...)
- a couennou with herbs and a slice of organic pork liver pate
- organic goat cheeses
That's it, and I'm not even confused for not respecting the day without purchase!
On the other hand, if you talk about mass distribution, that doesn't change anything for me: I never set foot there!

The boycot (in all its forms) is bullshit: it doesn't work ... at least not in the medium or long term. I would not comment on the writing of the original message (especially the "no PV" ... what relationship with the purchases?)
However, educating people is good ... and sustainable!
So +1 with Bucheron ...
By the way, you have all "bought" nuclear kWh if you have been on the forums today and knock!

Bonjour Christophe
The boycot does indeed have an effectiveness to be demonstrated in the long term, but for the “educational” aspect it allows us to point out that certain “products” are anything but innocent. In the background of advertising where the cars are clean and growth solves all the problems etc ...
If people not particularly aware of econological problems hear that some are standing up against this or that "aberration" of our world and way of thinking / consuming. They may come out of their certainties and start asking their first good questions. The citizen has the right to his advertising against!
