if you have the tandem, I have calves! not big, but there are still some. I bought myself a recumbent trike recently (which I intend to streamline a bit and "electrify"), and I discovered a whole bunch of pretty cool vehicles called "véomobiles" (you know, the avatar of ex-oceano , which is also rife on forums recumbent bikes), which are streamlined and have electric assistance.
the most successful being the aerorider:

but its price is high, its mass too, and the power of the assistance a little low. and it is not a tandem.
that said, there is a way to make a shell for a tandem tricycle without too much difficulty, and we can make it much lighter.
a speed of 65-70 km / h could be reached with 600W of motor and two nags on the pedals. if you know where to find sponsors to develop such a machine (with 10 € we get by with 000 months of DIY, ridiculous budget for a prototype intended for a 6-hour race of the thing) and that this kind of vehicle is authorized to compete in the 24h of Le Mans "eco-alibi", I follow you, and we register! we are going to rot the cashiers !! yaaaaaahhahahaaa!

criticism is necessary, but the invention is vital because in any invention there is a criticism of the convention ...
