Roll with Ad Blue

by bleusideral » 10/01/19, 12:34

Hello and happy new year 2019!
I have a service vehicle Lemon jumper with a tank of AD blue, I understood the principle but it is reserved for Euro engines 5, 6 with catalytic converter.
Can we hack something on a vehicle (in my case: an 2,8L CDI) that has no catalytic converter and roll with ADblue?
The goal, of course, is to reduce pollutants ...

AdBlue is to reduce NOx in an anti-Nox (nitrogen oxide) system and it is not really a catalytic converter ... a catalytic converter will oxidize pollutants, an anti-Nox system will reduce them!

You could install an Adblue-based anti-nox system but it will cost you a few thousand euros in spare parts! : Cheesy:

So the answer is no ...

Here is information about anti-Nox technical solutions: eat-less car / technology-anti-nox-water-vs-egr-vs-scr-adblue-urea-t14244.html
