Good evening Biomethane,

pout...

fed on "sugar"? In what form ? Cellulose, starch, sucrose, glucose?

it is very difficult to directly metabolize cellulose CxHy hydrocarbon ... starch, it is for food preferably glucose, it is for fattening. :P

in fact for the moment, apart from biomass thermolysis, viable processes at the industrial level are rare to obtain gasoline and diesel.

for beterave or cane sugar there is nothing to invent: it ferments and it makes alcohol: good fuel: there is no need genetically modified bacteria for this

for starch and cellulose I expect to see ...

Owl! For Paris-Dakar, we will no longer need to go to South America: we will have a desert on site!

Normally Lietseu is my official exegete, but I do not know if he is available and, moreover, I do not want to abuse.

Website developer:
Given 1, the current addiction to hydrocarbons is based on stocks of organic matter accumulated over millions of years; 2- that despite the considerable volume of these stocks, they are in the process of exhaustion,
it is clear that substitution on the basis of annual production will inevitably lead to rapid desertification of the entire territory since all the forests will have to be milled.

Dilemma for Norway and Sweden, because these countries will have to choose either to make IKEA furniture or pulp (hygienic) with their drills, or to make gasoline.

But these states and others like L'OREGON, who have been intensely exploiting their forests for more than a century, have not been transformed into deserts.

As for us in France, the same problem will arise in forests like the Landes.

it will arise when the process is perfected.
