100 205% oil installation on diesel, questions?

by squade » 10/04/08, 15:54

Hello,

I want to change my 205 XRD to roll 100% oil.

I want to know if someone found in the case, on which model of car, a booster pump that holds the blow to bring the oil to the injection pump (after heater)?
if this pump is too powerful pressure or flow it is the modification that must be made (parallel circuit)?

Are there also heaters on a normal circuit of a car that can also be found broken?

thanks to you A +

excuse me squade but you do not confuse GV and oil there? -)

if not for the booster pump, the gasoline pumps do not work, they end up sticking (checked).
if not try maybe on Japanese cars like nissan etc ..?
I have that facet that was worth it, if you find one that goes sign!
for info on D and TD the cabrurant power circuit is at ~ 0.3 bars, you can ride a little + but not too much.

for the reaffeur, you will undoubtedly find a "stanadyne" on visa, c15 etc ... that you can modify by checking my page (middle), I was the first to do it it seems to me at the time:

yes as you feel, I never tried this one but the pressures seem OK, the price is the same ... no need to take the pre-filter which is marked "imperatively" for the guarantee, because it clogs the oil pump (same as the other model) ...

it is not necessary to hang from pre-filter it?
then must the pump be placed after the diesel filter?
However they say to be placed closest to the tank to avoid I think too high suction height and coupled with the pressure drops of the hose and the fuel filter would cause problems.
you your pump is after the filter and no problem

also for different pressures:

even cheaper with hose connection (I think they are on the picture):

yes no need for a pre-filter, it's just the manufacturer's warranty to "protect the pump". ditto for 3A fuse protection.

me in my case it is the fuel filter that protects it! 6 years that it works without worries ;-)

some by theory the advises at the exit of tank, but not checked by the practice / measures ... of + it is not protected, and the electrical wiring is found less easy (in engine compartment before filter it is enough of the connect to the injection pump solenoid valve) + it is often put under the engine, where the cold wind passes.

but you do as you feel if you find a sufficient argument, I tell you what I did.

the prewash is there to relieve the feeding of the injection pump, logical that it helps it as close as possible!

ok
between the pump (facet) and the PI you put back to tank if I understood correctly (in another subject pantone).
What section of hose did you put for the tank return?
and if the flow of my facet pump is not powerful enough how to make the PI force the passage or it must be mounted in parallel?

and by the way my first can of oil harvest now I will attack part filtration.
I think to do this in an old cumulus of 200 L big reserve. in fact I'm going to cut the cumulus 2 / 3 then return the small part 1 / 3 to weld on the other. this part will be the 5μm filtration stage. then at the bottom put a purge and a tap for a little higher than the bottom so that there will still be decantation.
here I think it will not hurt

no no I did not change anything on the existing line!
my engine has a kind of small loop already original;
I just put the pre-cleaning between the fuel filter (out) and so before the PI!
and an electric chiller before the diesel filter
I boosted my hydraulic heater heater, because diesel filter installed at the outlet of the engine water.

I am in mono-carburetion, my injectors are at 175 bars of origin.
if yours are 135 in this case it will be necessary to raise them to 180.
I start on 100% oil summer and 90% winter.

do you want to mount a bi tank kit?
what is the brand of your injection pump, bosch? -)

you say existing loop but the loop is located or between PI and pump gavage is it?
No I want to mount for tank 100% oil
and worry you my pump is a bosch : Cheesy:
I'm going to do same LDR heating system that you not badly found it
