Inventor denies using cats for his bio-fuel
BERLIN (Reuters) - In the face of soaring prices at the pump, a German inventor offers cheap alternative fuel made from organic materials, but denies the use of dead cats.
The Bild reported in its editions of Tuesday and Wednesday that Christian Koch, owner of the patent of "KDV 500", manufactured organic diesel, a mixture of garbage and crushed cats. The article stated that the scientist could produce enough fuel to fill a fifty-liter tank with about twenty dead cat cats added to the mix.
The inventor assured Reuters only use "paper, plastic, fabrics and waste".
"My fuel is environmentally friendly, it's totally foolish to suggest that I use dead cats to make it, I've never put it in my mix and I'll never think about it. fell into my mixture, "he said.
A spokesman for the German daily told Reuters that the article was intended to show that a cat could "in theory" be turned into fuel using Koch's method.
The journalist who wrote the offending articles admitted that Christian Koch did not directly tell him that he was using dead cat bodies.
The website of Alphakat GmbH, the Koch company, explains that its machine produces what it calls bio-diesel for about 23 cents per liter, a fifth of the price of a liter of diesel fuel in a gas station.

1) I do not see how everyone is shocked about using cats (I say that I love cats because I have one) or dead animals because firstly they are already dead, secondly the costs of are very high and finally and most importantly: the oil comes from the decomposition of dead organisms (including animals)? WHO IS WHAT IT CHOOSES?
Should a "recent" death have more respect than an "old" death?
2) this news deserves a news! (not the controversy, the process)

Someone to find the site of the inventor?
I am very interested in this process
Does this mean that you need a supply of energy?
it would be very interesting to recycle garbage in bio-diesel.
And with all the chickens that are burned because of the bird flu, there would be something to do!

Provided that the prion protein is "broken" during the processing process. I remember that we still do not know what a prion but we know that it resists T ° greater than 100 ° C ....
For the site here it is: http://www.alphakat.de/ (English version but not fr)
Now I think that the controversy of dead cats may come from the suffix "kat" highlighted by the name of the company
