yrp, they do not say how they tested: in slow motion, in charge? you who love precision ;-) it's a little weak as you say.
normal that not pulling in the engine (load) it clogs a hair the injectors, but it's just an affirmation, no photos etc ... and I do not believe self + as being the bible of the oil; -)

but hey, as oliburn says, now that it will be legalized, no need to say that it works on the TDi HDi and DCi with a kit adapted! : Mrgreen:

I got my cooking oil from my restorer and he explained exactly what happened
oil harvest in small restaurants:
a gentleman presented himself with a beautiful empty can and told my friend that we had to take advantage of an exceptional grant
from the Ministry of the Environment to recycle its oil
and that it will not cost him a cent ... it locks dry!
Is anyone aware of this subsidy ????

Hello,
they tested at 30% with a C4 from 2005 (1.6 HDi) and observed an overconsumption of 0.4 l / 100 and a "clogging of the injectors with soot" after 1500 km ...
No more details, no photos, no other cars tested ...

Hello,
Aeden's boss told me that riding at 50% without heating the oil could lead to fouling of the injectors and more (it depends on the engines ... the oil used, etc. .. )
On olio, a person has experienced this problem, and had to disassemble the engine after 15000 km, if my memory is good.il was question of fouling, and no breakage.
For now I am 7000 km to 50%, without problems, with a mill former generation.
But this week, I install a kit bi fuels, as a precaution, and so that everything goes well in winter.
According to Aeden, the oil used is also important, depending on where it comes from: french chip shops, or restaurants ... :?

a direct-injected engine heats less than an indirect, the engine at idle falls below the 300 ° C it takes to burn the oil well: it clogs when the engine is idle, classic, it's 10 years that 'we know it ;-)

on the "new" kits, there is a T ° C sensor at the engine outlet (exhaust = representative of the combustion chamber T ° C) which automatically switches to diesel when the T ° C drops: so no risk.

luckily it goes, this shot of the probe is not bad.

AFTER: how to get this probe and implant / solder on the exhaust pipe?
I think it's recovering an electronic info of the T ° C exhaust, you have an idea? EGR? Lambda probe ? FAP?

: Arrow: :D
it gets dirty when the engine is slow, classic, it's 10 years we know it ;-)

Except that everywhere on the net we sing "ho, on a lot of cars, you can drive at 50% in summer, without problems" :?

Quite, and that's what I'm fighting for, jonule knows something ... : Wink:

Otherwise for jonule, not stupid the shot of the EGR, it is indeed quite possible that there is a temperature probe, since this EGR is not supposed to be in operation under heavy load.
