Yesterday there was a very good program on RTBF1 entitled: When the Earth loses the North. It was oriented: melting ice and increasing T ° upsetting biodiversity (in the North much more than elsewhere since the bottom is already 2 ° more than 50 years ago ...)

I took some notes and will write an article about the Scolites .... who devour whole forests ...

The program was: "Questions in the News"

Topic 1 - Climate: Europe soon in the tropics? The average temperature has increased by one degree in a century. Many specialists predict an increase of 3 ° to 7 ° over the next century. The year 2000 was the hottest year in almost 250 years. A team of "Featured Questions" went to the south of Spain where many natural phenomena demonstrate this upheaval. Spain is the country in Europe where the greatest temperature increases have been recorded. The effects of this change are already being felt. Desert plots have formed there: desertification is taking place in Europe. These clues worry. Especially since many scientists agree that climate change could have disastrous consequences on the planet. Many divisions and new inequalities are likely to emerge. Will man manage to adapt to this new climate? It is this new context that we will explore in this report. An investigation by Pascal Bustamante and Chergui Kharroubi

Topic 2 - Global warming: endangered flora and fauna? In the far north, squirrels give birth three weeks earlier than 15 years ago, the red fox replaces the arctic fox and the trees progress north 6 km every 10 years. Changes that researchers explain by global warming. The Arctic is the region of the world most affected by climate change. Animals, plants and of course people see their lives change. This accelerated thaw may seem far from our concerns. But the disturbances that this warming is causing are already being felt. An investigation by Jeannita Richard and Mario Masson

Is that so ? I would not be as categorical (otherwise the lobby bush would have had no trouble signing Kyoto ...)

Once I saw an interview with an oil director. This one said:

"... growth is directly linked to energy consumption. Reducing our consumption of oil would mean reducing our growth. We must therefore always consume more oil to show our growth and our domination over other countries ..."

Well at the same time, it's a bit of a discourse by our leaders too, "we must consume more to boost growth"

Here we touch a sensitive point, because telling people to consume more to make them believe that they will have more work, it is very clever as approach !!!!
Especially when you sell time-limited products to make more profit.
We work more, to buy more, what's the point?
It's a shame anyway, because we could just as well work less, work better, buy less, buy better, and ultimately, live better!
There will be neither loser nor winner, the land is limited in resources.
If we continue on the path of everything consumable, all disposable, it's obvious that something will happen somewhere.
So who will be the big winner of international Russian roulette !!!
Take your tickets and the best wins
