Voles, the 2021 hunt is on

by Biobomb » 06/01/21, 23:29

The 2021 hunting season is open. Taken from this afternoon.
the beast is surrounded by the tools which were fatal to it and which comes from the missing and regretted Manufrance
it is a male that the cold and the snow have pushed in my Belgian endives after having attacked the escaroles.
these incisors are at the height of its greed.

I don't want to know how you used the torture tongs, but I want an explanation anyway!

Ah, isn't that a vaginal retractor? : Cheesy: : Oops:

If not for the bottom of the file, my 3 country cats bring me dozens of rodents per year (not counting those that I do not see ...) and 2 or 3 field mice or voles the size of yours ... Most are eaten, it's the cycle of life, it's nature, nothing criminal in it ...so you know what you have to do if you don't want to be called a criminal! Enjoy your meal ! : Mrgreen:

It hurts more in the heart when they bring back birds to me (5 to 10 per year of pluckers) ... I noticed that this happened especially during heat waves (density of the air? Physiological fatigue of the birds ??). The worst is when they manage to get it in and they pluck it inside !!! What a mess !

They've also already brought in a few mice that are still alive ... and lost them to play with! It's painful !

I remember one of the last cases: the brave mouse that had freed itself got on its hind legs and tried to bite the cat's nose while making a little jump ... the cat was quite surprised and me too ! But in the end it still ended badly for her ... how to say she was not the weight ...

The animal does not suffer because this very powerful trap is the only one which breaks its necks cleanly. This trap must be properly armed and above all well placed in a gallery. This trap can be dangerous for anyone who misuses it. But the only trap to really avoid is the trap-ac. : Mrgreen:

I prefer cats, natural predation therefore, than traps ... Here mine also bring me moles (rarely) ... which they do not eat elsewhere ... the earth is not good!

I believe they don't eat shrews either ...

Didn't you think about getting one (cat)?

Other garden pests. Much smaller than voles. Not easy to catch with lethal traps.
The animal is not ugly because it has 2 beautiful colors with a white belly. He is capable of jumping a meter in height to escape.
I catch them alive in a suitable trap and release them far from home.

There are tons of cats in my house passing by in the garden but none of them belong to me. As their owners feed them kibble, they will not have fun hunting and thus lose the corresponding discomfort.
