Hello,
My butternut squash from Provence made me lie ...
I wrote some time ago that at home in ch'nord they remained green, but this year they took on color:

It is perhaps thanks to the tile which supports it, its eight sisters of the same foot did not take so many colors : Lol:

I have a "de Chioggia" picked green and put as decoration on the living room table (very green!): It changes color!

[own seeds: it is not at all "warty" as indicated in the photos of the seed sales sites - I had however last year by a seed company and already it was not really - but this was not marked "Marina de Chioggia" but simply "de Chioggia" - town located at the exit of the Venetian lagoon and known since the XNUMXth century for horticulture and market gardening]

... which perhaps plays its role of thermal buffer! (besides protecting against underground sneak attacks by mole rats!)
