actually the stables gave the house and the cover, now a stable with standards and a clean breeding do not favor, after as Guy says, before there were beaten for magpies and crows it regulated

in the protection of nature we sometimes arrive at nonsense, we prohibit the hunting of this or that, we protect, regulate, but behind there is no more regulation, this is a bit what Didier explains with our slugs, we need to strike a balance between predators and prey, unfortunately Man is not ready to see certain predators return, or to regulate the proliferation of others

I will post the photos of my HLM in tits (without discrimination), built and installed this weekend ...
I know it's too late for this season but they are not about to budge!
I bounce on the vegetable garden itself:
The previous days I made some comparisons on the Eggplant plants,

- Installation of 2 eggplant plants in the greenhouse, close to a plant that survived this mild winters before "hay" ...

-> assessment, after 4 days, the plants are not very vital (soft leaves) while the soil is alive, wet, and I have given them a small liquid dose of urea and potassium ...

- installation of 2 aubergine plants in the garden, with the same care (or lack of care), as the previous ones
-> assessment, after 4 days, the plants are pretty, despite a slight "gastropodic" predation ...

I read on the forum from Did67 that the lack of nitrates could be the cause of this lack of vigor, but so close to a healthy foot, I am surprised (except error or possible misunderstanding on my part)
Note, the tomato, parsley and basil plants introduced into the greenhouse at the same time (after 5 days of acclimatization) are in good shape.

some ideas from the experts? or any other contributor naturally ...

My young eggplant plants as well as the zucchini, squash, and cucumbers, transplanted into the ground last week, have been making the same head since Sunday, all raplapla. They were in good shape however, but since Sunday we have been hot in August, they are not close for that. Solution: shading and shower, to refresh, it's fine now.

Yes, any sudden transition is delicate. The ideal of a plant (there are exceptions!) Is constant good conditions ...

Excellent !!! Here I am caught in the act of "speaking too fast".

I remember. That year (like in the song ...):

a) my wife bought plants; I hadn't done any
b) I plant (or she?) directly outdoors; it was later in the season, towards the end of May ...
c) I observe this plant which is vegetating, yellowish, these 4 or 6 leaves as we had bought it for two or three weeks ...
d) I make a symptomatic diagnosis, without analyzes: cold soil, no mineralization / nitrification ... Possible lack of nitrates. If I piss right next to it, it should bring soluble urea, very quickly transformed into ammonium, very quickly transformed into nitrates ...
e) and .... "it works"! Here he is, green, etc !!!

Where is the flagrant crime ???

Very simple: no witness !!!

The scientifically correct conclusion would have been: the plant is doing better, has regained its growth; maybe it was the urine spray, but maybe not! The better temperature, the drier or warmer soil, the rooting was finally done correctly or an mole rat died right next to the roots ...

The only way to be more assertive: a second plant, from the same tray (same variety, same origin, same "breeding"), planted 1 m further on in the same border, and which would not have been squirted (a witness") ! And there, one of two things: either he reacted the same, and the spray on the first had nothing to do with it; or he continued to hang around and it was the squirt!

So "pan sur le bec" (section of the Canard Enchainé where they correct an error).

QED!

What is this bite-me-the-knot test with only two plants? No double blind cohort, let alone randomization! :P
