Ah thank you ! it must be compatible with the track traced in the grass of which I spoke also, even if the poop found is far from this track.

2 videos on the difficulties related to the installation of a vegetable garden in an area tending towards the forest.

I know the subject well to have followed it from the beginning.

It would be rather the opposite ie not an area tending towards the forest but a forest tending towards a plot of culture ....

It was indeed a plot of semi-forest fallow that was lent to her and that she tries to transform into a plot of culture until it becomes a vegetable garden.

I think that's what I meant.

Ah thin I interpreted "in an area tending towards the forest" as an area that was becoming forest again.

But if it means that it was a forest area that she cleared to make a vegetable garden then no soucy

Very interesting video, some images (the mix brambles and ferns) could have been shot at home.

For my part, I think I managed to control the weeds on the planks of culture thanks to a very (very) good thickness of hay.
His comments on potatoes are the same as mine.
That said, I can be clever with my squash & zucchini which seem to be doing much better: no more mulching (hay)? more rainfall?

I remember :
1 / the principle of braid hedge bristles, but I am not convinced that it is applicable in my case if I do not come often enough on the spot.
2 / mow and mow to keep control over the spaces I want to clear.

I actually think she has a problem with watering.

In addition the land is sloping and so the water flows

The use of brambles as a natural hedge is a very good thing from my point of view.

I think you can handle it even if you're not there very often: the brambles grow fast it's true but are quite malleable to be directed.

I do not know if mowing and mowing are the best solutions.

Because suddenly you give way to fast weeds who were capped and dominated by what you cut.

Maybe you can do a test in a corner of a higher cup and see what happens.

It must depend on the varieties but a plant cut at 15cm for example leaves with several stems and makes a low cover ... which can be interesting for the future
