You may have come across here, on econology, the nickname Steph72, one of the initiators ...

He is the man to whom I owe for having embarked on conferences, when I had not even thought of it! One day, my phone rang ... He, having seen my first videos, saw me very well. And he was right, this boy [I just saw he has some gray hair, but from my point of view, he's a "youngster" that I can call a "boy"!]

For information: I managed to convince my editor to support me for this type of conference, which I hope will be a "helping hand" for emerging local initiatives. Conference and dedication are the official part of the program. There are often informal meetings (ranging from a nascent vegetable patch to elected officials or "sponsors"), beyond the program ...

By associating bookstores, and dedications, and within certain limits, the publisher covers my travel expenses (transport) ... The project leaders host me, organize, find the rooms, promote at the local level ...

I recall in all transparency that I am asking € 250 for a conference. Negotiable if the association's resources are not sufficient. And if there is no support within the framework of subsidies ... I do not want the money to be a factor of discrimination. But at a minimum, I want to recoup my expenses.

Book signing in the morning, Partisans bookstore, from 10:30 a.m. (and after the conference).

I add this info that has reached me in the meantime:

Do not hesitate to book (Covid cause, places limited), with the MJC secretariat (Preferably, email or phone) from October 1.

I specify: it will start at 18:30 p.m., but we do not know when it will end !!! The "standard" of the Festival's meetings is one hour, hence this "schedule" - which I do not intend to respect, in agreement with the local organizers (ELAN association).

The dates are frozen.

Number of places limited to 100 - on registration.

Practical information will follow as soon as I have it.

If you have time, I advise you to visit the blockhouse at Eperlecques. A vestige of the Second World War. One of the most impressive German bunkers, which was intended as a launch site for V2 missiles.
