Facebook image ... Real or special?
The colors do not seem very real (especially blue) ... so fake or reality?
What do you think Didier?
Smilies in a blade of grass? Fake or reality?

Re: Smileys in a blade of grass? Fake or reality?
Before clicking on "here", I was going to write that it is not a "simple leaf", given its way of folding up ... I was thinking of the maroon.
Now Habren's Herbarium is also a little wrong: phloem and xylem do not designate forms of sap, but kinds of conductive vessels. The xylem is lignified (rich in lignin, a constituent of wood). So the two do not react the same to various dyes that we use to "emphasize" colors. In short, phloem and xylem do not circulate. It is indeed the sap that circulates in these pipes, called phloem and xylem, with the cells that surround it.
Always the same "sensationalist" tendencies that make me hate a good part of the net: hang you for idiots and cultivate your bullshit so that you will be even more so tomorrow than yesterday ...
And it works !
Do not ask me where we are going. But I know we're going fast with big dadais!
PS: Have you noticed that in some species, two dragonflies when they mate form a heart ???? So what ??? What does it mean ???

I forgot :
a) in optical microscopy, the sections are generally colored before examining them, to see more clearly ...
b) but there, it is "over-colorized" by computer to make it more spectacular!
