1) This happens occasionally: wait and put the plants outside as soon as it is hot enough; the "auxiliaries" - the enemies of these flies will take care of it; you come home at the end of summer and often (not always), it will be "clean"

Difficult to advise or advise against something we did not have in our hands ...

Basically, there are two "types" of plates:

- those made of fairly light plastic, quite fragile; it is a little the light "plastic" with which the single-use "cups" are made; these seem to me of this type

- molded plastic, much more robust, reusable, often used by professionals; it's a bit of plastic like household utensils (bucket, small shovels, etc ...

To look closely they are rather dark gray but it must not change geand thing ..
