For the tufts of grass, it's when you're on the geese side, around 6:45 in the video.

Okay ! It's a part of the garden that I hardly ever cultivated. I mostly mowed (irregularly) and let the geese eat whatever they liked. The large clumps have obviously not been mowed. The soil is not particularly compacted there.
I also have such "tuft" on the edge of my hay boards. As Didier often explained, they benefit from the "boost" effect of hay.
Now I try to remove them when I can and I will try to limit the foot passes in the future to limit this problem ...

This was the conclusion I had arrived at, notably with fairly powerful "lateral invaders" such as yarrow, white clover (creeping) and cinquefoil ... And observing a "border effect" of about 30 cm (the addition of hay on the floor "fertilized" the alley over about thirty cm; 30 cm on each side is more than an alley ...

I simply removed the problem by removing the side aisles

Yes it is true that where it has been covered with hay for four years now, these tufts of grass do not grow there.

Hi friends,

I put you a little video "before / after" a big operation of shaping the shared garden that we install for the spring with the friends of the association.
This garden is next to mine. We made an agreement with a landscaping school and the interns proposed and carried out the project presented in the video. An enormous job and the result of which is mind-blowing! Suffice to say that Father Christmas has already passed for us! We will now have to show ourselves worthy of this environment ...
We have planned a phenoculture area but we will have to buy hay because we have already used everything ...
Among the plantations set up for this occasion: cassia, wisteria, jasmine, vines, kiwis, apple trees, charms and apricot ...

This is the garden that we will show you Didier when we have rescheduled your conference with us.
Until then, merry christmas to all ...

Hello lazy people!

a short video in the garden starting from the beehives, followed by a tour of the different boards that will accommodate vegetables or green manure. Mulching is diverse, between hay, tarpaulin or even jail sometimes.

Wishing you a good spring preparation in your vegetable gardens
