A CNIID News that I invite you to read:
Chers amis,

September 6 (the first Wednesday in September) will take place on World Day of Opposition to Cremation.

This mobilization is renewed for the 5th consecutive year at the initiative of the GAIA network. Last year, 200 associations representing 45 countries participated.

This year, the CNIID will take action in Paris to denounce the waste management policy currently underway in France. Only 20% of household waste is recycled, while 80% always ends up in landfill or incineration. Instead of promoting the reduction of waste at source and recycling, the French government is supporting the construction of new incineration plants (around ten projects in progress).

Because we prefer a healthy environment to unbridled consumption where incineration would be the miracle solution to the waste problem, we will firmly oppose the current policy and will express it this September 6.

We need people to lead this action, which is why we are asking you today so that this day has the most impact possible. We would only need you in the morning. We will explain the modalities of the action during a preparatory meeting in early September, but already, we invite you to contact the CNIID (01 55 78 28 60 or florence@cniid.org) to notify us of your availability.

Whether you are available or not, we would appreciate your response.

Goods.

Christophe, will you change if it is not in the right place?

Uh no it's in the right place (although a new topic would not have hurt ... can you create it please?) But it also allows to resuscitate this "old" post :)

propane underground tank

by nick62 » 11/11/06, 11:34

Hello,
I just changed my central heating system; gas was supplied by a tank buried in the garden; the supplier offers me two options: either take the tank back or neutralize it and leave it buried as it is in the garden; what is the best option from an ecological (and practical) point of view

Welcome to you but for your problem I believe that you have mistaken the subject.

We have already more or less raised the subject in the water management part: https://www.econologie.com/forums/l-eau-gest ... -vf36.html

(transformation of an oil tank into a rainwater tank)

I therefore advise you to recreate a subject here in the fossil fuels section: https://www.econologie.com/forums/les-soluti ... -vf45.html

Recycling and reuse of plastics

by mdelatte » 22/11/06, 16:25

In articles talking about recycling, we only talk about 2 types of plastics ... which are actually recycled today ... the rest being incinerated. :frown:

But there are other recycling methods than those currently used and which can incorporate most of the plastics mentioned in the article.

Unfortunately, today, the supply chains are organized in such a way that they cannot get anything else out of them ... many stakeholders (harvesting, sorting center, recycler, trader, etc.) are far too settled and powerful for them to be we can hope to change that ...

Little by little a waste mafia was set up with the help of our policies ... : Evil:

To be concrete, a few years ago, we were talking about the Stabilobloc process ... by searching a little on Google, we find a lot of document on this subject ... and yet, it is no longer possible to produce it today !

Indeed, there are other ways to recycle plastics, even soiled, as well as other materials. But the problem is still that of the sectors and profitability.

On the other hand, I don't want to defend anyone, but I know that in the container park, some plastics are collected and stored while waiting to be able to put a chain in place.

Yes, but unfortunately, the space made available to collectors to store these different plastics is not enough. It depends on the local authorities, but often the space required is not sufficient to keep them until the establishment of this sector.
