I grant him great skill, however a chainsaw chain that cannot be properly tensioned and above all not greased can only constitute a rather mediocre and not lasting palliative solution.

Absolutely: a chainsaw consumes at first sight 1 L of oil for 10 L of gasoline. I put the oil from the mower. They say it is carcinogenic and that you have to put chain oil. This makes a second use of the engine oil of the mower, it saves money, it avoids going to take the used oil to the recycling center, and that's less given to Poutine or to BMS (Mohammed ben Salman ).
What worries me the most is the lack of emergency chain stop. Its assembly is dangerous.

It can be dangerous for someone who is not used to handling this machine; otherwise, given the necessarily occasional nature of its use, it remains anecdotal ...

Hi, it's true that this chainsaw is dangerous, I put under the video in my post a link to this guy's youtube channel, you will see that he doesn't just make dangerous stuff

I even thought to invite him to the forum, so he could tell us about his very interesting tinkering and we here could give him ideas to improve his tinkering, for example, the safety on some of his machines or tools, or even add a system for oiling or greasing
replace something weak with something more costly

we all have to learn from each other, it is by making mistakes that we learn, when we are together we share our ideas and that way we move forward
here are two or three of his videos

good night

As I said before, this guy is very good at DIY (without giving that term a derogatory meaning) and he is really very skillful (especially since he only has rudimentary tools), but , on the whole, it does not result much: grafting backfire engines on rough rolling bazaars, it is imaginative, but of a more than reduced interest ... Gaston Lagaffe?
