In any case, I would like to do the 9O0 km with a liter to go swimming on the Mediterranean by highway !!
Yes but between doing a few km of running on a flat circuit in this record wheel suppository and real use on the road, there is NO comparison possible, moreover the motors used are absolutely not designed for prolonged use (this are model engines) ...
Yes and no...
Outside the energy categories, concerning the modes of propulsion,
2 categories of VEHICLES are participating in this event.
1 Prototypes
2 The Ecocitadins (I preferred the name "Urban Concept")
You can see that the architecture is no longer a "rolling cigar" ... The characteristics are defined to approximate those of a vehicle that can be used on a daily basis ...
If it is true that many prototypes used model engines, each run lasted around 50 minutes and some competitors made several record attempts in a row ...
However, many competitors used quite common VAE wheel motors, among the assemblies present, there was "Crystalite", "Golden Motor", "Matra BionX", ...)
These VAE motors may become relevant in the "Ecocitadin" category but are largely oversized on the most sharp prototypes being able to be satisfied with 75W ...
