The thermal version made 2964Km / L, that is to say 3.37Wh / Km.

La Joliverie has gained in internal combustion with
3196.3 km / liter of SP95
The bulk of the competitors are around 900 km / liter

With 15 liters we go around the earth and with 100 liters we go to the moon !!!!!!
In any case, I would like to do the 9O0 km with a liter to go swimming on the Mediterranean by highway !!
But the toll is then 50 times more expensive !!!

Same to insulate better, and save the heating which is 3 times lower, without saving, than the housing and property taxes !!!

What an interest to invest to save, if the real expenses do not change fundamentally !!

Fundamental problem, except if the price of oil explodes by 50 times !!

Yes but between doing a few km of running on a flat circuit in this record wheel suppository and real use on the road, there is NO comparison possible, moreover the motors used are absolutely not designed for prolonged use (this are engines of reduced models) ... In addition the pilots of these machines are chosen in small skinny sizes ... : Lol:

8) Hello Louis4sun, you were part of the competition or the organization. :?:

As I said above, I was present at the challenge in the technical department (departure management). :D

The weather was not there for solar vehicles but that does not detract from the interest of this event on the human and technical level.

:? Yes and no... :?
Outside the energy categories, concerning the modes of propulsion, 2 categories of VEHICLES are participating in this event.
    1 Prototypes
2 The Ecocitadins (I preferred the name "Urban Concept")
You can see that the architecture is no longer a "rolling cigar" ... The characteristics are defined to approximate those of a vehicle that can be used on a daily basis ...
Image

If it is true that many prototypes used model engines, each run lasted around 50 minutes and some competitors made several record attempts in a row ...
However, many competitors used quite common VAE wheel motors, among the assemblies present, there was "Crystalite", "Golden Motor", "Matra BionX", ...)
These VAE motors may become relevant in the "Ecocitadin" category but are largely oversized on the most sharp prototypes being able to be satisfied with 75W ...

I have wondered for years the pkoi (technology, piloting ...?) Of the supremacy of the school in question!

If anyone has any clues?

Otherwise +1 there are few similarities between these cars and road cars ...

Hello
La Joliverie has an excellent car, great experience in racing strategy
However it is "astonishing" to note the ratio 3200/900
compared to the Supaero car which seems to me very good too
(light, good profile, same Michelin tires)
It's like Lance Armstrong ... there must be something (or a wolf ..)
The question that kills ... or goes the energy of the electric starter?
In heat? in kinetic energy? where ?
It would take a joulemeter on this engine !!

Hi oiseautempete

It's simpler bird

Small and fragile cars,
you see them every day on the road

Remember !

Cars without a license! ! !

(45Km / h 250Cm3 can do worse)

There is only one step!
will we do it? : Mrgreen:
(In the event of an energy crisis this will become an obligation : Evil: )

Congratulations on your victory. :D

You were less happy with your solar proto ... :frown:
Have you analyzed the source of the problem? :?:
