Is there a joke or a pun in the title? Before the Marseille metro was not electric? : Mrgreen:

The Marseille metro network is quite small: only 22 km of lines for an urban area of 1,7 million inhabitants
Or 13 km per million inhabitants only.

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9tro_de_Marseille

In comparison, the Strasbourg Tramway network covers 70 km for an urban area of 0.8 million inhabitants: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tramway_de_Strasbourg or 88 km per million inhabitants

But Marseille, eh, it's the city of Taxi! Let's not forget it! : Cheesy:

Metro line 14 on the way to become the busiest in Paris
Four stations are inaugurated on Monday. The extension of the automatic line to Seine-Saint-Denis should help relieve the very congested line 13.

By Denis Cosnard Dec 14, 2020

Finally, some good news for the Prime Minister to celebrate! Monday, December 14, Jean Castex is due to meet with the president of the Ile-de-France region, Valérie Pécresse, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and many other officials to inaugurate the extension of line 14 of the Paris metro, which will become the longest and busiest in the whole region. A heavy investment - 1,5 billion euros - and extremely structuring.

After years of waiting and multiple delays, the 14, a fully automatic line that crosses Paris from south-east to north-west, will now have four additional stations. Instead of stopping to the north at Saint-Lazare station, it will serve Pont-Cardinet station, Porte de Clichy, cross the ring road and enter Seine-Saint-Denis, to its provisional terminus at the town hall of Saint-Ouen. The stake is major: it is a question both of desaturating the appalling line 13 which also serves Seine-Saint-Denis, of supporting the development of this department, one of the poorest in France, and of lay the foundations for the future Grand Paris metro.
