To complete, I made a mistake on the length of the PE coil that plunges into the tank, I have 4 100 loop m in diameter 16 mm ext with a thickness of 1.5mm.
What is the volume of preheated water:
16 mm outside = 13 mm inside
PI * R² * L = 3.14 * 0.065² * 4000 = 53 L
Ulysses, you made a mistake in your formula for calculating the volume, it seems to me.
By cons, your idea of an old ball plunged into my tank would have been good but I have not thought before, too bad!

ah yes you're right the formula is V = 3.14 * R² * L, V = volume, R = radius L = length in dm

Good evening everyone,

Last night, my shower was warm while my preheating tank was at 45 * ° C. I checked, my cumulus heater normally warms up when it needs (if I increase the setpoint temperature). So I thought and I found an explanation, what do you think? If that's it, I've only increased the temperature I wanted in my cumulus.

Tigger, your cumulus comes out of the ECS to how much degree?

Thank you all.

Manuel

hello mroutin.

to answer your question, my cumulus is at 60 °, (resistance setting between 55 and 60 °).

solar preheating temperature 65 °.

thermostatic valve set at 35 ° for washing machine, consumption for machine at 30 °, 200w, and 30minutes of washing.

direct dishwashers on cumulus, temp 60 °, 32minutes to wash the dishes, and only 180w of electrical consumption.

it may be enough to raise a little the temperature of your cumulus electrique at the level of the resistance, not to forget the temperature of destruction of the bacteria which are in the water.

me between 55 and 60 ° I am quiet and right now, the resistance does not turn often.

hi mroutin.

to answer this:

https://www.econologie.info/share/partag ... zuVXVf.pdf

your resistance only captures the temperature around it, and as you say the hysteri .... so the input temperature does not affect it, set it a little higher in temperature and this should work normal depending on the connection time.

hello tigger
having an old house heated with oil, we will change heating energy. After a long reflection, we would like to make a system identical to yours (solar + wood)
I saw that the solar water heater had cost you 1200 euros by doing it yourself, can you tell me how much the new heater (wood, tank, sensors ...) has cost you to set up and what are the savings you make.

thanks to you

Since Tigger did a lot of it himself I moved the subject in self build leaving a link in the forum solar energy.

Important for modos: if you move subjects to the forum autoconstruction, leave a link in the forum original (do not uncheck the box when moving).

News from Tigrou:

Heat recovery on the wood stove pipe, continued. (Finished the 15 oct 2010)

After putting ten meters of 14 / 16 copper pipe in the lined part of the wood burning stove, and especially 1 years of testing, I just put around the 10metres plus stainless steel hose pipe 12 / 16 flexible that I had a very good price by a friend, and after several weeks of testing, I manage to keep the temperature of my tank from a thousand liters of my floor heating very low temperature 32degrés, thinking that I shoot in the day, at this time -7degrees out and still 18,5 inside, and I'm still doing a soaring at night to rise the temperature of the house between 22 has 25degrees. Hey I like to be warm even if I do not fear the cold.

Since photos are better than a long talk, here are the photos of the editing by step:

10metres 12 / 16 stainless steel pipe with two fittings. Bulb probe, 2 collars, 1 chimney tube diam 180m / m cut in two to the grinder, some bits of metal (hanger tips) to hold during assembly, all connect to my already existing circuit, and on the coil solar tank bypass with anti return and circulator at the right place.

Ps: decrease of the monthly price to 48,50euros of edf.
