In 2007, the jurors of the Nobel Peace Prize sent a strong signal by rewarding Professor Pachauri, who demonstrated the scientific reality of global warming, and the former American presidential candidate Al Gore for his shocking film "A Truth which disturbs ": the link between peace and environment is thus underlined.

Today, with the economic crisis, the idea that green growth is necessary is gaining momentum. How did we get here ?

The documentary traces, using archival images, the emergence of environmental awareness: since 1945, with the acceleration of the industrialization of the world, major ecological disasters have shaken the planet, pollution coal in winter 1952 in England with the disastrous consequences of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, going through the most serious civil nuclear explosion in history, Chernobyl in 1986.

The consequences of these disasters, the reactions and commitments they provoke, give birth to a new battle: ecology. Experts and known witnesses are interviewed: Mihkaïl Gorbatchev, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Noël Mamère, Nicolas Hulot ...

Too bad the schedule is downright shitty ... why not the 14th instead of the usual AM "turnip" on public holidays? (well it's not necessarily turnips but it's almost always "déjà vu")
