Uh ... Klein said several bullshit during the 3 minutes ...
Is he a doctor ? Is he an epidemiologist?
Funny it is a very good example ofultracrepidarianism that he denounces so much ... so it may be an exercise in style for the audience (so a voluntary "fake"?) ... that would be his only excuse ?? So I would erase my -10 Karma points
Where is this filmed? Who is listening to him?

Precisely these words are distorted out of context.

Ben ... you will recognize that it is a little embarrassing to have written an entire book on the subject of COVID, like Onfray, and not to know that the 19th which is attached to it corresponds to the year of its discovery no ? Doesn't that show a great seriousness of the study of the question?
Not necessarily. It's difficult for me to answer since I haven't read his book, but I suspect that it is not the virus itself that he deals with, but all the surrounding context, whether this virus is the 19th or born in 2019.
He does not judge only on this detail, moreover. He says that the speeches of philosophers who appear on TV shows, on COVID, can be boiled down to:
- you have to die of something
-we have seen worse
...
Giraud selects the “details” to serve his purpose.
I cannot believe for a moment that an Onfray treaty on COVID would be limited to "you have to die of something" or "we have seen worse" even if it is worth remembering, it is the role of the philosopher, because currently, everything is sacrificed to a single idea: save the least of the 1% of people with a mortal risk and 80% of which is because of old age and / or weakness, even if it means sacrificing the rest of the population, including young people who should not be concerned. It's up to people at risk to protect themselves.
Of course, Onfray got stuck on the 19th, sometimes things take root naturally in our minds and we don't think about checking, he was wrong, but we are not going to make a cheese out of it all the same. Philosophers like Onfray have the ability to broaden the views we have of things, and if he makes us relativize COVID, for me it is going in the right direction. That said, no one is infallible (and neither is Giraud).

It all depends on the points on which he expresses himself.
You do not need to be a doctor to detect errors in the statistical processing of data that epidemiologists (or climatologists) may have made. A physicist will most likely be more competent at this. I speak in general (I am lazy to go and listen to Klein on this subject).

Yes in the end (in fine) it is science that always wins!
For the deadline, bin it all depends on scientific hindsight and the obstacles in the way ...
It can take a few decades or even centuries ... before a discovery is accepted as scientific evidence!
And it is the scientific hindsight that is lacking on RNA vaccines ... but hey ...

it is perhaps hindsight, itself, which is scientific! And it is the scientific hindsight that is lacking on RNA vaccines ... but hey ..
