Emdrive: space propulsion motor Microwave (NASA)

by Christophe » 07/08/14, 10:09

NASA is testing in recent years a microwave engine without fuel the emdrive! The information has been made public.

The thrust is very low but it exists ... apparently!

I have a little trouble understanding how an engine can create lift without ejection of matter ... but the case seems serious: a scientific revolution underway? (Contradiction of the principle of conservation of physical movement)

Last year, NASA conducted an experiment that could well shake up space travel the next decades. The results of this experiment, published just a few days, suggest that space propulsion deemed impossible by many scientists, is actually ... possible. And frankly, on this one, NASA has lost 10 years by refusing to take seriously the scientist who devised this design 2004.

10 years ago, Roger Shawyer, a British scientist, invented the emdrive, a propulsion system that uses a patented microwave technology to convert electrical energy into thrust. The crazier with this device is that no fuel is required. Simply just a little electricity to run the motor.

(...)

When the results of the Chinese experiment were published in 2011, Sawyer regained some hope. Especially as other tests were conducted by an American scientist who once again used a separate but similar design.

Annoyed by these results she refused to admit it, the US space agency finally agreed to conduct its own tests with a new separate propulsion system similar to but emdrive. The agency has met 5 scientists were able to show that it was possible to obtain a stable thrust between 30 and 50 mN.

For Shawyer, the creator of this engine, it's a good win and we should hear from him in the coming months or years. Its design allows a push 96 mN, which is much higher than the results obtained by Chinese or NASA. For him, the most important is to finally get scientific recognition.

Shawyer already has a new design in his cartoons. Its propulsion system could change in his being used on Earth to power cars and maybe one day the planes.

This is nonsense.

Not reproduced by other lab.

And it's musty, it was released several months ago on Futura Science finally closed wire (rightly)

here is the thread on Futura Science, which date ...... 2008.

It'll still end up like nonsense to Rossi on the son that will last for years without concrete applications.
