A crazy thing !!! : Shock: : Shock: : Shock: Satellite orbiting by centrifugation!!

The flight of a racing car launched at 1.600 km/h (uh, shouldn't it be more?) by the SpinLaunch centrifuge seen from the inside!

On April 22, SpinLaunch achieved a new feat with the launch (a jet?) into the atmosphere of a 3-meter-long racing car, equipped with a camera for the first time. “Flying with a digital camera on board marks an important step towards integrating complex payloads into test vehicles,” said Spinlaunch. The result -- as you can imagine -- is beautiful, spectacular, sensational and would make anyone on board dizzy. But the device is not designed for manned flights. It is rather the putting into orbit of satellites, and the constellations of mini-satellites, that the company aims for. And this, at a lower economic and ecological cost (this often goes hand in hand), because the system needs much less energy to propel its projectiles into space.

SpinLaunch's centrifuge is a huge and amazing disc some 50 meters high and 33 meters in diameter. The machine can reach the force of 9.000 to 10.000 g (2.000 times that endured by astronauts on takeoff!), Assures the company, which has so far only tried it at 20% of its capacity.

it seems to me to be a hoax, because it is necessary to exceed 28000 km/h to orbit an object, and 'at this speed in the air it burns.

But I could be wrong :P

The deformation of space/time by gravitation is also clearly visible

Since the light does not go straight, we do not know the real distance "as the crow flies" that separates us from the stars... :?:

Given the number of deviations accumulated, I will not get into the calculation...

What is certain, with all these zigzags, is that the real distance is clearly shorter than that known in light years.

China wants a spaceship several kilometers long

At the request of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a group of scientists is currently working on the development of an ultra-large spacecraft. Preliminary research will focus on examining the challenges of lightweight structure development and in-orbit assembly.

An ultra-large spacecraft

Over the past twenty years, the Chinese National Space Agency (CNSA) has achieved several historic milestones, from sending astronauts into space, to deploying three orbital stations, to successfully landing rovers on the Moon and on Mars. And the country does not intend to stop there. Like NASA or SpaceX, China plans to build a research base on the Moon. There would also be talk of a manned mission to Mars from 2033.

More interestingly and surprisingly, the country's leaders are also said to be considering the development of a kilometer-scale "ultra-large spacecraft". Positioned in low Earth orbit (LEO), such a structure could then authorize long-term missions and promote the exploitation of extraterrestrial resources. At least, that's the plan.

A few weeks ago, the National Natural Science Foundation of China promised an envelope of 15 million yen (about 1,94 million euros) to start the research. One of the main goals of the project would be to find ways to reduce the mass of the craft while ensuring that it can be assembled in orbit, according to an initial report by the South China Morning Post.

They will! But I would be curious to know the cost of the ship vs the cost of putting it into orbit...it might be wiser to invest in a space elevator before wanting to make a ship of several tens of thousands of tons...no ? The ISS is 450 Tons and 110 m long...

But hey, since humanity is more busy slapping each other in the face than doing this kind of project...we can wait a little longer...

Guy Debord wrote: "in the society of the spectacle, the truth is one of the moments of the lie."
By paraphrasing this author, I would be tempted to say that open conflict is only one of the moments of the war against nature... I therefore see the latter less as a happy (?) substitution than a strict continuity on the content and an alternation on the form...

Yes yes !!

ps: I wasn't particularly aiming for Ukraine, humanity is having fun elsewhere at the moment... even if it's less publicized here...

I believe there is a dirty ethnic war in Ethiopia...the Tigray war

But shhh...since it's not Nazi crap, don't help them or pity them and incidentally they're Arabs and blacks...so even notice! : Lol: : Lol: : Lol: : Lol: Mouhahahahaha how beautiful humanity is!!
