A nice 2D physics / modeling game: Phun -> Algodoo

by nonoLeRobot » 25/06/08, 11:09

It is really well done and didactic to model mechanisms.

http://phun.fr.uptodown.com/

It does not allow for real calculations but for the popularization of mecha systems, it can be very nice. I'm sure there is a way to make a ram pump for example ...

Edit: Phun became Algodoo in 2009: http://www.algodoo.com/download/

Yes it makes you think of an incredible machine but bcp bcp more powerful. By cons there is no scenario, you have to invent goals.

On the other hand there is another very nice game with the same idea, but bcp simpler but funny:
http://www.miniclip.com/games/magic-pen/fr/

For the surunity we will see, but there is a way to make floats and all or wheels with connecting rods and springs everywhere.

And since there is little or no friction, it may be able to work ... :D

We can see the principle of water hammer on a tower very well

PS: It shows very well what could have happened to the twin towers

Excellent videos! For the towers the tower falls NOT in free fall contrary to what happened ...

Finally thank you for this discovery, we will be able to have fun ...

Do we organize a competition? 8)

Now I'm afraid that learning will take a lot of time (which we don't necessarily have) ...

It's super intuitive, there is no function / mode time.
