The fable of anthropogenic warming and the fight against CO2
Re: The fable of anthropogenic warming and the fight against CO2
oh well if you like short circuits, install yourself in autonomous solar. With signs that will come ... from China.

They are not crazy ...
They know that there is money to be made with eco-friendly solutions: they are always much more expensive than conventional solutions, and as it would be for a good cause, the price to be paid by the populations no longer has any significance. limits, we can put them on the straw.
In Australia, the price of electricity has risen considerably since wind power, which had been touted as having to bring it down, was rolled out on a massive scale.
In Germany, it is not far from double that of France.
We have to pay for the green industry.

You may not have read it, but it talks about the development of the transport network, not production.

Yes, I only answered what you wrote. Transport is part of wind power, due to the dissemination of sources. This has a cost far from negligible, which ultimately affects the price of electricity.

A bogus advice, but still no figures on the means to implement, their price, or evaluation of the ecological cost, of the high voltage cables in the ocean or the interconnection of solar production between day and night areas?

Re: The fable of anthropogenic warming and the fight against CO2
do you want numbers?
Well an HVDC cable carries 1 GW for about 6 cm of copper diameter. You need 2 per line.
the density of copper is 9 tons / m3
So I'll let you do the math over 10 km, what a mass of copper that is.
For information, the annual copper production was 21 tonnes in 000

And as you said, if we pooled electrical energy at the global level, we would not need to build so many such large lines. The current network already covers a very large part of the world. How much, I don't know though.

ah you realize anyway that it is bullshit to say that "the current network already covers a very large part of the world"
