Blame it on global warming
If erosion is a natural phenomenon, global warming is only making things worse according to scientists. With the storms and the rising waters, four meters of earth are washed away each year and the pace is accelerating. At each high tide, it is the same scenario: the water carries a little more the sandy cliff.

it is true that storms, before, we did not know in England ... : roll:

According to the UK Climate Change Committee, if erosion continues at this rate, 100.000 homes are at risk of collapsing within 60 years.

well, they have gained 10 million inhabitants in 60 years, so they still have to know how to build houses I suppose ...

and anybody know how to stop the erosion if not?

Yes, it's very recent, maybe even due to Brexit. English climate refugees will soon be flocking to France.
And I ask myself a question: when Britain is finished being submerged, will the Norman fishermen be able to haul the trawl over London?
