2018, the Seine is again in flood.

Le Figaro publishes the flood map in the Paris region with the flooded areas in blue:

This map is superimposed strangely (but not that much) with the map of the "Red Belt" with its areas in red, ie that of the communist town halls!

No need to make new retention basins, they already exist!

Hola! conspiracy returns. I remember the floods of Abbeville and its region in 2001, a rumor spread, according to which the valley of the Somme would be voluntarily flooded to protect Paris and its basin https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crue_de_l ... lle_%C2%BB

It is far from being a rumor: it is a fact and even half-acknowledged by the Prefectures! It is quite normal to "sacrifice" a few thousand homes to save hundreds of thousands or more !!

Any good chef would do that! The opposite would be a mistake!

Now it is logical that the chief compensates and subsequently assists these "sacrificed" in an exemplary manner!

In all fairness it would even have to be the "saved" who pay directly for the "sacrificed": we saved your loaves, it's up to you to save ours!

Like an exceptional "flood tax" for all Parisians in the greater Paris area! : Cheesy:

Houla it will not pass that!

Today, 17 million French people live in potentially flooded areas. Should we still build in these areas, and under what conditions? Architects are working on concepts adapted to floods.
