these are 400 v and 000 v lines!
I found that which is very interesting!

do not hesitate ...

Power lines promote leukemia

Living near a high-voltage pylon could lead to an increased risk of developing leukemia in children. Indeed, according to recent research done at the University of Oxford www.ox.ac.uk, children living within 200 meters of a high-voltage pylon have a 70 percent higher risk of developing this disease. Living near a pylon from birth could therefore explain up to five additional cases of childhood leukemia. This risk decreases from a perimeter of 600 meters and more. Researchers cannot explain with certainty the reasons for this phenomenon. The results of this study can be found in the current edition of the British Medical Journal www.bmj.com .

London (pte)

The researchers analyzed data from more than 29 children in England and Wales, born between 000 and 1962 and among whom 1995 children had cancer. These data were compared with those of a control group of healthy children. Researchers measured the distance from each child's home to the nearest high-voltage pylon. They found that 9 children who developed leukemia lived about 700 meters from a pylon. 64 children with leukemia lived 200 to 258 meters from a pylon.

Children living within 200 meters had a 70 percent higher risk of developing leukemia than children living 600 meters and more than a pylon. At a distance of 200 to 600 meters, this risk was 20 percent.

Although the researchers were able to find a clear link with the rate of increased cases of leukemia, they cannot explain this phenomenon. Because leukemia can be due to complex interactions between different factors such as genetics, diseases of the immune system, infections or radiation. "We do not find any biological reason for these results. It is possible that the cumulative rate of leukemia in these regions is due to chance. However, it could be that the environment in which these pylons are built is related to a rate of leukemia. cancer or genetic predisposition in children is the cause, "said Gerald Draper, head of the study.

However, those responsible for this study are fueling the debate that is raging among the scientific community regarding the safety of people living near a high-voltage line. Earlier results, however, indicate that electromagnetic fields can promote cancer. Experts warn of any panic reaction because even if these last results were to be confirmed, the number of leukemias really due to a high voltage pylon would only be one percent.
