In all commercial logic, "it's normal". If they knew that they were going to be denounced by the UFC it was the moment to run out as much as possible the stocks before a possible against publicity which could undermine their profits. : Cry: : Evil: :frown: : Mrgreen:

Launch of the campaign: "ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS: DISTURBED ENVIRONMENT, THREATENED HEALTH!"

Paris September 30, 2013 - While the public consultation on the National Strategy on Endocrine Disruptors (SNPE) ended a few days ago and the future regulatory definition of endocrine disruptors is being negotiated in Brussels, Agir pour l ' environnement and its 12 partners are launching a citizen mobilization campaign entitled “Endocrine disruptors: Disturbed environment, threatened health! (Campaign online soon).

Highlighted in 1991, endocrine disruptors (EPs) cover several hundred chemicals in common use2 which can interfere in minute doses with the hormonal regulation of living beings. Human exposure to PE is early (in the uterus) and daily due to their great heterogeneity: we find, in fact, PE among the ingredients of consumer products and as contaminants of water, air or our food. Endocrine disruption calls into question any classic approach in toxicology and in chemical risk assessment: the dose is less important than the time of exposure and it can be potentiated by the cocktail effect, the effects are latent and possibly transgenerational.

Scientific evidence is accumulating to designate the participation of PEs in the “global epidemic of chronic diseases”: hormone-dependent cancers, metabolic disorders (diabetes-obesity), neurobehavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, impaired reproduction and fertility. By environmental pollution, the toxicity at low dose of PE is also exerted on wild fauna, in particular aquatic, with serious effects on the reproductive capacity of many species, like the feminization of water fish. soft.

It is therefore high time to put this issue at the heart of the public debate in order to push French and European decision-makers to take strong measures to reduce our exposure to PE to zero. With this campaign, citizens have until June 30, 2014 to return the petition cards to challenge the European Commissioner for Health and Consumers, Toni Borg, the Minister for Productive Recovery, Arnaud Montebourg, as well as the distribution groups of their choice 3.

We therefore ask the European Commissioner for Health and Consumers to:

Establish a definition of endocrine disruptors that is as inclusive as possible, that is to say that does not leave aside any suspected PE.
Take action now to reduce exposure to proven and suspected endocrine disruptors within the European Union, by banning them as a priority in uses likely to affect vulnerable populations (medical devices, cosmetics, toys, contact and foodstuffs ) and in dispersive uses (pesticides, biocides, ...).
Increase awareness and training of the public and professionals on the risks of endocrine disruptors.
In the long term, ban all PEs with the objective of reducing human and environmental exposure to zero.
Ensure horizontal integration of PEs in all public policies and in particular major public health and consumer protection plans, in parallel and in support of environmental action plans.
Develop research in the field of environmental health, in particular on the specificities of endocrine disruption and on the cocktail effect.
To the Minister of Productive Recovery:

Put in place economic instruments to penalize the continuous use of PE, promote substitution (using techniques and / or non-harmful substances) and finance platforms for the exchange of skills and information for businesses.
Make environmental health challenges a driver of innovation and French industrial and economic know-how.
Promote export sectors of “Zero PE” excellence, for example in the food and cosmetics sector.
Establish clear, understandable and accessible information and labeling on products in order to strengthen consumers' capacities to make informed choices.
To food distribution groups of:

- Remove suspected and proven PE from the referenced products, starting with bisphenols, phthalates, parabens and perfluorides, PE pesticides, and offer an offer without PE to consumers.
- Promote clear, understandable and accessible information and labeling for consumers in order to strengthen their capacities to make informed choices.
These measures will initially reduce our exposure to endocrine disruptors and then reduce this exposure to zero in order to protect both our environment and our health.

A campaign on the concrete effects of endocrine disruptors and various other bio-chemical pollutions: http://www.madmoizelle.com/generations- ... nte-232552 (mostly young but good ...)

With the questionnaire “Protect your hormones”, the group Générations Cobayes invites you to participate in a study aimed at evaluating the exposure to endocrine disruptors in our daily life.

You may know, for example, that it is better to avoid certain deodorants containing aluminum, but do you know what the lubricant, the condoms or the sex toys that you use contain?

Endocrine disruptors are chemicals whose behavior is similar to our hormones. The problem is that because our bodies are made to work with our hormones, these substances, when exposed to them, can cause chronic diseases, including cancer.

Hormones play an essential role in the development and functioning of the male and female reproductive systems. We note, for example, the increase in exposure to endocrine disruptors thanks to data such as the age of puberty, or the fertility of couples:

In France, the age of puberty has gone from an average of 18 years in the 12th century to XNUMX years today.
The rate of couples who could not conceive after 12 months without contraception increased from 14% in 1991 to 24% in 2012.

A campaign by the “Generations Guinea pigs” collective

"Protect your hormones" is an awareness campaign on the health of young people, led by "Générations Guinea Pigs".

Who are they ? "A collective of individuals and associations united around a Youth Appeal since 2009, because we cannot live in good health on a sick planet".

Their goal ? To challenge the public authorities, but especially the industrialists, so that the endocrine disruptors, whose harmful effects are known, no longer enter into the composition of our products of current consumption (food and cosmetics in particular).

And to bring this subject to the agenda of decision-makers, we need figures, “data” as they say. To better understand the level of information we benefit from on endocrine disruptors, as well as the general precautions that we take (or not!) To limit our exposure, "Générations Guinea Pigs" invites you to answer this short questionnaire, focused on contraception, fertility and sex.

"Protect your hormones", take the test!

Preliminaries, solitary pleasures, flirting until we get naked, we don't necessarily know, but at each stage, we are exposed to endocrine disruptors. But because we're not going to start laughing either, the “Protect your hormones! Aims to inform and offer alternatives to products that are problematic on the one hand, but also to collect data on our habits and allow direct questioning of manufacturers and public authorities.

Whether you have never heard of endocrine disruptors before coming across this article, or you are already well aware of the risks they pose to your health, to continue "doing good without hurting yourself" , take the test to participate in the study, and find out more!

Exposure to endocrine disruptors: 7 people from the world of ecology have their hair analyzed.
https://www.generations-futures.fr/
Générations Futures, in support of the EEHI network, today publishes a new report, the 9th installment of these EXPPERT surveys, on the exposure of populations to chemical substances suspected or proven to be endocrine disruptors. And the results are final!

Who ? In this new part, our association has proposed to personalities from the world of ecology to entrust us with a lock of hair that we have had analyzed by a competent laboratory. The following were present: Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Isabelle Autissier, Delphine Batho, José Bové, Nicolas Hulot, Yannick Jadot and Mare-Monique Robin.

What? The laboratory searched for around 200 endocrine disruptors (PE), namely around 150 pesticides and pesticide metabolites (products used in agriculture and in the home to get rid of "harmful" or "undesirable" flora and fauna), 3 bisphenols ( plasticizer known to enter into the composition of polycarbonate - hard plastic), 13 phthalates and phthalate metabolites (plasticizers of plastics to make them flexible) and 32 congeners of PCBs (massively used in electrical transformers or as heat transfer fluid for example. since 1987).

Results? 100% of personalities have in their bodies each of the families of products analyzed [1]!

“EXPPERT 9” survey on endocrine disruptors: Générations Futures takes opinion hostage

Paris, February 23, 2017 - While the environmental association Générations Futures has just published yet another "investigation" into the presence of endocrine disruptors present in the hair of 7 political and environmental figures, the Collectons Sauvons les Fruits et Légumes de France demands from the health authorities a firm reaction in order to restore scientific truth with the French.

the 150 pesticides sought by Générations Futures are far from being endocrine disruptors, as the association implies.

- Contrary to what is announced, most of the substances sought are either undetected or below the limit of quantification.

-The substances that are found in "greater" quantity are:

Allethrine which is a mosquito repellent with low toxicity for humans.
Permhrin which is a medical product to fight against scabies in humans.
Fipronil and propoxur which are for veterinary use to fight against fleas and ticks in dogs and cats. Let’s add that fipronil has not been used in agriculture since 2004 ...

Because the hair is in the body?

In physiology everything that is attached to the body is part of it, including other appendages such as nails, body hair, hair. Yes, all this is good in the body! : Cheesy:
The integuments (masculine noun, from the Greek φανερός, phanerós "visible, apparent") are integumentary products from the ectoderm and characterized by a high rate of keratinization. In humans, the main integuments are the hair, the hair and the nails.
Opinion activists, what scientific legitimacy?

Save the Fruits and Vegetables of France do they have better scientific legitimacy?

Paris, February 23, 2017 -
More specifically, the 150 pesticides sought by Générations Futures ARE FAR AWAY FROM ALL endocrine disruptors, as the association implies.
- Contrary to what is announced, most of the substances sought are either undetected or below the limit of quantification.
-The substances that are found in "greater" quantity are:
 Allethrine which is a mosquito repellent with low toxicity for humans.

Low toxicity is not synonymous with no toxicity.

Permhrin which is a medical product to fight against scabies in humans.

It is not because a product used in medicine is used for a use, that this product is not harmful to health, disruptive or not. The DDT used 50 years ago continues to be found in analyzes due to its persistence.

Results: in the 25% of women most exposed in their mother's womb, the risk of breast cancer is multiplied by 3,7, compared to those who were least exposed.
This study has just shown that chemicals, even banned for decades, can have serious consequences, throughout our lives.
http://www.asef-asso.fr/mon-jardin/pest ... du-present

Fipronil and propoxur which are for veterinary use to fight against fleas and ticks in dogs and cats.

Same as above!

- This analysis lacks the search for substances unanimously recognized as dangerous such as tobacco, narcotics, alcohol, etc. Do we have to remember that hair analyzes are perfectly relevant for finding these types of components?

One does not justify the other. What is needed is rather a strong position on endocrine disruptors

“While in Germany, the BfR (equivalent to ANSES) reacted very clearly a few weeks ago to false allegations launched by a German newspaper, the collective Sauvons les Fruits et Légumes de France is asking as soon as possible strong position on the part of ANSES on these pseudo investigations without any scientific basis and which deceive the general public.

Press Release

"Total ban on endocrine disruptors": Benoît Hamon measures the consequences on organic farming?

Contrary to a widely held prejudice, producers of organic fruits and vegetables use numerous phytosanitary products to protect their crops. Azadirachtin better known as "neem oil" is one of them. This natural insecticide is used in apple, peach, cherry and plum orchards. The “endocrine disrupting” properties of azadirachtin have been known for centuries. This does not prevent producers of organic fruits and vegetables from using it by taking all the usual precautions.

As Did said, using this kind of product is no longer organic.

This product is an endocrine disruptor [1], a genotoxic carcinogen [2] and causes atrophies on young bees [3] and damage to the liver and lungs of rats [4].

By Decision 2008/941 / EC of December 8, 2008, the European Commission refused the inclusion of azadirachtin (active substance in Neem Oil) in Annex I to Directive 91/414 / EEC, this which amounts to prohibiting Member States from incorporating this active substance in preparations benefiting from a marketing authorization on their territory. Therefore its use as an insecticide is prohibited in agriculture, market gardening, gardening, green spaces, greenhouses. A period of use is maintained until 12/2010 (which can be extended up to 12/2011 at most) [1]. Azadirachtin is also not authorized in France [2]. However, it appears on the list of natural active substances proposed by the AFPP "Alternative means and integrated crop protection" commission [3]. Use in premises (homes, offices) is logically authorized, because the product then falls under the biocides directive.

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insecticide

Legislation needs to be harmonized!

For reasoned agriculture, this is only a small step towards an agriculture using LESS synthetic phytosanitary products, but not without endocrine disruptors, for example.

Is one study enough?
André Cicolella, in his interview with Le Nouvel Observateur, only highlights one scientific study9. It concerns the in utero exposure to DDT and was conducted by an American team in 2015. The relationship between women's exposure to DDT and the risk of breast cancer has been analyzed in many studies. Several meta-analyzes10,11 examined all of the publications and all concluded that the available data do not show that exposure to DDT increases the risk of breast cancer. A meta-analysis12 studied in particular the risk ratio of breast cancer in exposed and unexposed women (RR - relative risk) according to the year of publication of the last article taken into account. The more the study takes into account recent results, the less it highlights risks (see Figure 2). http://www.pseudo-sciences.org/spip.php?article2706
