Cost of air pollution: 1000 billion according to WHO

How to stay healthy and prevent risks and consequences on your health and public health. occupational disease, industrial risks (asbestos, air pollution, electromagnetic waves ...), company risk (workplace stress, overuse of drugs ...) and individual (tobacco, alcohol ...).

Cost of air pollution: 1000 billion according to WHO

by Christophe » 05/05/15, 13:28

And this cost only concerns 53 country! At the World level, we are talking about 7 million deaths for 2010! The weight relative to GDP can be monstrous: exceeding 30% !! Crazy!

The astronomical cost of air pollution revealed by the WHO

The WHO (World Health Organization) published Tuesday, 28 April a report on the human and financial costs of air pollution. This estimate, which concerns 53 countries in Europe and Asia, reports 600 000 induced diseases and premature deaths, and evaluates the cost to more than 1 000 billion.

(...)

Globally, the numbers are turning heads. Outdoor air pollution (which differs from domestic pollution), according to WHO, caused seven million premature deaths and cost the 34 OECD countries (plus China and India) the sum of 3 140 billion euros for the 2010 year.

(...)

For example, in Ukraine or Romania, the health cost is one quarter of the country's GDP. The record goes to Serbia, where this figure exceeds one third of its annual national wealth.

But no, it's still not expensive enough to really awaken consciences ... too bad for those who die prematurely (can we say: murdered by the system? Add the dead of hunger and junk food ... We live in the best of the world, really ...)

frightening, all on econology as elsewhere, polarized on terrorists but not at all on this real slaughter which concerns us all !!

Solution electrostatic filters effective among others on fireplaces and vehicles ???

And warm up for free, in perpetuity without any pollution at dlsc.ca, with the solar heat of summer used in winter !!

We can save 7 millions of deaths a year, and save the planet without CO2 too!

Reason to repeat it !!

Solar geothermal energy works, without major technical unknown to save the planet from the choking and overheating of the CO2 !!

Fires: Closing thousands of schools in Indonesia and Malaysia

AFP • 18 / 09 / 2019

Forest fires are raging in Indonesia, ravaging the cleared tropical forests of Sumatra and also those of Borneo. Jakarta has deployed some 9.000 firefighters and soldiers with helicopters to try to extinguish them.

While forest fires occur annually in Indonesia, they have grown this year due to a particularly long and intense dry season. With 328.000 hectares burned since the beginning of the year, these fires are the worst since those, particularly devastating, of 2015.

On Wednesday, air quality deteriorated to "very unhealthy" levels in parts of neighboring Malaysia, an official index said.

The capital Kuala Lumpur was covered Wednesday with a thick cloud of pollution.

Nearly 1.500 schools have been closed throughout Malaysia because of this air pollution, affecting more than one million students, according to the Ministry of Education.

An increasing number of Malaysians are suffering from health problems related to this cloud. According to the authorities, hospitals have received a large number of people suffering from dryness and itchy eyes.

Meanwhile, Indonesian authorities have announced the closure of hundreds of schools in Riau province, Sumatra, and about 1.300 schools in Kalimantan's central province of Borneo.

The lack of visibility resulted in the cancellation on Tuesday of about 40 flights since in the three airports of the Indonesian island of Borneo.

In Singapore, air quality has deteriorated to poor levels and a white cloud has clouded the horizon.

One can indeed ask the question. Environmentalism aims to sacrifice man for nature, and if the sacrifice is made without him, he loses his reason to exist. Its thurifs are not ready to give up the levers of power before even having established their totalitarian ideology, on the contrary they exacerbate possible future dangers for the man and maintain the fear of the future, it is good for their business.

On the other hand, everything is not negative, we saved 1,84 million deaths from nuclear power:
https://www.huffingtonpost.fr/2013/04/0 ... 07198.html

"By 2050, up to 7 million fewer deaths while maintaining nuclear power": it is even public safety to build new power plants.

And so, by saving or extending all of its lives, nuclear power contributes to global warming! : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:
