Will the "Centaurus" BA.2.75 be the next global variant of the coronavirus? Indian cases are increasing but this new variant does not yet appear to be driving up #covid hospitalization or death rates.

Japan or Australia, with their successful “zero covid” policy, did not experience the first fatal waves, are only immunized by the vaccine, which is less effective on the omicron variant.

At the cumulative level, there is no picture...

Contrary to what Nicolas Blaireau claims, Japan* has not practiced the zero covid policy. It certainly confuses with China.

You will always manage to find a contradictory text
At the start of the pandemic, Japan and Australia were followers of "Zero Covid", that is to say, zero tolerance for the virus. An entire population could find itself confined after the discovery of only a few cases of contamination. This strategy has enabled these two countries to cope with previous waves of contamination without recording many deaths. The more contagious Omicron variant reshuffled the cards and forced Japan and Australia to change their strategy

Japan has closed its borders, Australia too. For Japan, nothing to do with a “zero covid” policy like in China. Idiot. : Mrgreen:
