It becomes comical limit. Ultimately there is still a chance that the virus is not endemic. Or we should have different subtle variants of winter flu, at least as fine and numerous as we do with covid-19.

Can Pédro tell us how the different influenza variants are declined in relation to covid19? From what can we say that it is a “new” variant (or not) ... after how many notorious mutations or not? Is it the discovery of new “function gains” or what do I know?

They have to stop psyching the journalist : Mrgreen:

Some are better than others all the same and I think that LePoint, more and more frank, was to rename itself soon LePoing (in your mouths of ducks):

The "advantages" of barrier gestures:

"Hospital practitioners and town doctors are unanimous: the barrier gestures have drastically reduced infections by viruses which usually circulate during this season."

First good health news of the crisis ... if it happens the covid crisis will eradicate the flu ??? : Mrgreen:

On the other hand, it is largely insufficient for the covid ... Total reconfinement in England!

England is completely reconfigured: will France follow?

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced Monday evening in a speech that the epidemic is further escalating and that the new, more infectious variant must be brought under control through full containment.

Edit: oops not seen your 2nd post

I did a little summary 2020, and the last quarter here:
Image
The famous "second wave", mediatically as famous and controversial as it is scientifically very poorly defined, did occur in Autumn only, in the form of a peak during the month of November 2020 less pronounced, but longer than that of spring 2020. This "second wave", after a completely calm summer, is actually a NEW epidemic, disconnected from the first wave of spring. The responsible strain was detected at the IHU at the beginning of October 2020, and named "variant n ° 4" by the teams of Professor RAOULT.

Very lots of additional information to read on this link

Ah good ? I have doubts about this statement ...

And why haven't we talked more about this new strain?

We talk a lot about new strains more recent UK and South Africa ... why not this one? So Marseille would have won Europe for once? : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

I continue to think, seeing the global curves (which never showed a trough in the summer) that we are quite simply still in the 1st wave from an epidemiological point of view because we remain, despite the restrictions, in a globalized trading system ... very profitable for the virus!

Talking about Nieme vague depends on the frame of reference ... I agree that there was in France a second wave of "quasi saturation" of hospitals ... but the epidemic has never disappeared in France ...

A reasonable doubt or just "like that"? Because it is their specialty to dissect RNAs at the IHU. He talks about it in the video I posted, the link of which you corrected. And there, he specifies:
