An article in "Que Choisir" takes stock of the tests. Here is a summary, just for you, lucky guys! : Mrgreen:
- Virological tests (RT-PCR) are useful only for a very short period, at the start of infection, since they identify viruses when they enter the body. False negatives are observed (the best score is 70%). Even a positive test remains difficult to interpret, since the actual presence of viral material does not necessarily mean that it is still active.
- The serological tests are more reliable, but can only be used later than the previous one, because they are used to detect the antibodies which sign the defense of the organism against a virus (but it can be another virus than that of the Covid19). Few false positives, but produces a few false negatives. The performance of the test also depends on the type of test used (this is being evaluated).

It appears that all of these tests are only of interest to people with symptoms, but that it would be useless to consider systematic and generalized screening.

It's not just China that would lie about its figures: http://www.leparisien.fr/societe/corona ... 326176.php

Coronavirus in Italy: some regions suspected of lying on the numbers

Several regions, particularly Lombardy, are accused of reporting biased data on the number of Covid-19 infections so as not to risk a further closure.

the data is not very up to date, France seems to give the figures on April 26 and the US on .... April 18.

I think Jam is talking about the cases tested positive reported by various health authorities IN THE WORLD.
With 5.973.925 at the time of posting, according to this site, he is right. There are others (sites), I have not checked the consistency of the data.

As "the other" would say, it's hard to go wrong all the time. : Mrgreen:
(I love: sicetaitchou to the rescue of Madame Irma du forum who has only been wrong from the start ... it's touching)

I am not helping anyone, and especially not those who tell bullshit constantly or joke with a photo of Pierre Dac having understood nothing.
You will understand that it would take me far too long, especially in your case.
