similarly from 0.75 to 2 liters of wine, our alcohol prevention organizations and addictologists would fall on their ass right now :frown:

The 6-digit numbering was in effect in France between 1963 and 1985.

So it's not that old ...

Our? Rather ... because I do not share all their analyzes!

Not sure that their dogma of total abstinence is the right solution ... I am even convinced that humanity would currently be less advanced (socially, technologically, medically and above all culturally) without the discovery and consumption of alcohol ... maybe it would even be extinct ...

We brandish the abusers to make all the other consumers feel guilty ... this manipulation does not only concern alcohol ...

Tobacco lobbies were very strong too, not so long ago ... Finally it is a tradition that appeared under Louis XIV.

I started smoking in the army in 1972, we were still entitled to our cartridge of "troops" every month.

Distribution stopped in 1986 ... well, the year I quit smoking :)
The "Evin" law of January 10, 1991 marks the end of this "transfer" to the armed forces. https://www.monsieur-legionnaire.org/im ... C3%A9e.pdf

Tobacco is good, scientists certified it. Certainly according to large-scale double-blind randomized experiments, confirmed by British American Tobacco and Philip Morris ... You have to trust these big and beautiful companies who have always said everything, nothing but the truth, I tell you . : Mrgreen:

Not sure that their dogma of total abstinence is the right solution ... I am even convinced that humanity would currently be less advanced (socially, technologically, medically and above all culturally) without the discovery and consumption of alcohol ... maybe it would even be extinct ...
one should not exaggerate on a dogma of total abstinence. This concerns only former drinkers who have stopped (as for tobacco) for the rest it is only a question of culture and education and we cannot blame those who do not drink or smoke and never drunk or smoked (and other drugs) to be in a dogma. Having made a choice is much more realistic.
We brandish the abusers to make all the other consumers feel guilty ... this manipulation does not only concern alcohol ...
in science, the notion of abuse is relative to the capacity of an organism to react to a dose of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, etc ... whatever it is, it's just a physiological measure; So there is no more question of making consumers feel guilty than minimizing this biological action.
Each of us may have noticed these parents smoking in a closed car with a baby in the back seat (an accident being considered more serious than being a passive smoker), but booze is socially better accepted since most of the citizens of OUR country more or less booze and where everyone seeks to apologize for this consumption and make the consumers of other so-called illegal drugs feel guilty. This world is crazy, crazy, crazy! : Twisted:

The analogy is very interesting and I don't think I have ever seen any journalist, reporter or specialist dare to do it with current lobbies ... not even Elyse Lucet!
