No. People who can't quit smoking are those who say "I should quit smoking" and try. They fail. Others (like me) say to themselves "I'm full of this shit, I'm done" and they get there. It is only a question of desire, and above all, of desire to achieve it. This engine is enough.

it's largely true, you can't quit a drug without being motivated

Yes and no; It's not enough to say," I want to lift 100kg if I have the desire"while the musculature is not sufficient. However, these participants have often tried several times to quit, and even succeeded sometimes, for a few months, even years and they relapsed however. The desire is important but not sufficient to reach and especially "hold" over time as for alcohol elsewhere.

Except that, in an emergency, it's quite possible (I experienced it with a higher weight), even if physically it is not, in appearance. It seems that ultimately you are not so "enlightened" as that on certain "magics" of the human being.

yes, yes, I know all that, but these are only exceptional cases, not common cases like what concerns alcoholics or smokers in general.
[*] and what weight do you normally lift?

People who manage to free themselves from alcohol and tobacco are also exceptions.

no more than the others! They are generally scared of dying of it, which is obviously motivating. : Cheesy:

You're never stingy with answers to nuts, you... If what you've just said were true, we wouldn't be in this situation and everything would be for the best in the best of all possible worlds with a population with a mentality of steel and with a body of bronze... : roll:

i like nuts but not in the answers!
If what you have just said were true, we wouldn't be in this situation and everything would be for the best in the best of worlds with a population with a mind of steel and a body of bronze...
what would I have advanced? If not the experience on the ground, not in theory. Our western society is going rather badly, 125.000 annual deaths from tobacco alcohol and 157.400 from cancer, etc...! It is not a sign of health to the brazen body!
hence the usefulness of helping those who wish to get out of it without too many injuries and before it is too late for them! : roll:
