Hi! You surprise me! And for vitamin 'D' you're doing well.

For iodine, no wonder that physiological saline as a placebo works wonders. : Cheesy: I -> [] go out ->

A study that will please Obamot:
Finally, simply increasing the daily intake of dietary fiber may markedly help improve gut health, as fiber is directly utilized by beneficial gut microbes to produce SCFAs, with butyrate being a key substance. This dietary adaptation may be the most easy and effective method that can be considered to be implemented immediately to prevent severe COVID-19 or just for general health improvement.

Indeed, thank you very much!
Obviously, orthomolecular medicine goes through this, a step in the (right) direction of holism.

It's not all but it's a big piece. One of the seven foundations of immunity and health. Without being too mistaken:

The first foundation is food.

The second foundation is intestinal hygiene - which goes through the first pillar, because if you have a diet that favors pathogenic germs, you cannot achieve good permeability of cell membranes (in particular that of the intestine which is only one cell thick, as shown in the diagrams in your link) - the favorable balance of the microbiota therefore leads to a good seal and a correct assimilation.

The third foundation is from the orthomolecular school, it consists in measuring what goes in and out of the body. There is a part of self-observation (with different signs and indicators, dry skin, quality of urine, consistency of stool) and doing a bio-check to see different deficits in the blood (to find out what 'must be corrected / compensated).

The fourth foundation is the favorable acid / base balance (or not) to obtain a good metabolism (natural sugars, fats, calcium ...) again, this goes through the first pillar, since by eating pathogenic foods , the result is also an excessive acidification of the medium. with the result of transformations which are incomplete or which are done badly.

The fifth foundation is immunomodulation (a term we have heard a lot about with covid ...) governing / controlling the inflammatory process. In short, the goal is to carry out an “immune rehabilitation” ... some doctors use targeted antigens according to the pathologies to be combated.
There are four:
MAS CK RESP & ENT
MAS CK LS (broad spectrum)
MAS CK INTEST
MAS CK UROGYN
It is often inspired by methods of allergology and desensitization. janic must know this subject much better than I do. : Oops: There are really a lot of studies being done in this cutting edge field. And of course, it goes through the microbiota. Thanks again for sharing.

The sixth foundation is the psyche. Joie de vivre, zen shui spirit ... meditation, love, yoga, everything you want to lower anxiety, feel good, happy ...

The seventh foundation is to walk, run or cycle ... A little sport, for fun!
10 min per day (Well yes, no need for more, so anyone can do it, because after 10 min. We necessarily want to do 20 min, then 30 min ... :D

Why all of this ? Because if foundation # 2 seems to solve everything, immunomodulation is a separate thing, which can be governed / corrected by the fifth foundation, but which itself draws its roots from the other 6 foundations simultaneously.

It's a bit complicated but it's the price to pay (if we can afford it to stay healthy ...) I have not had any feed-back of cases of covid among those who follow this ..

CHU d'Anger - Covid-19: 73 experts around Professor Annweiler supported by 6 learned societies to supplement the French with vitamin D

Will the no fakemed fall on them? : Mrgreen:

As part of the fight against COVID-19, 73 French-speaking experts and six national learned societies gathered around Professor Cédric Annweiler, head of the Geriatrics department at the University Hospital of Angers, and Professor Jean-Claude Souberbielle, both specialists in vitamin D, call for supplementing with vitamin D the French population as a whole (and not only the elderly or at risk of severe form of COVID-19).

Reduce infection and severe forms of COVID-19
A growing number of scientific studies show that vitamin D supplementation (without replacing vaccination) would help reduce infection with SARS-CoV-2 as well as the risk of severe forms of COVID-19, resuscitation and death.

This group of experts calls for supplementing the population as a whole, and not just the elderly.

No reason this time :P
The beneficial role of vitamin D in preventing SARS-CoV-2 infection and severe forms has been suggested by numerous publications. What data are currently available in the literature? What practical messages to draw from this? What supplementation to offer for prevention and in the event of Covid? Position and recommendations of experts and French national learned societies *.
