Damn ... there's really something I don't understand!

Oil which goes from 150 to 50 $ ... ratio 1/3 ... it has not fallen to 0!
The bolivar devalues him by 1 / 100? Logic?

So the people responsible for creating this social misery are the banks (American in particular)!

Don't worry, we're on their list too ...

It is not abnormal in itself that there is no strict proportionality between these two phenomena, however correlated. There are threshold and leverage effects ...
This is also the case in the price of raw materials: when in your example the price of a barrel is divided by three (or vice versa!), This corresponds to a much smaller variation in available volumes.

More fundamentally, when a country sees its main source of income compromised, its currency is no longer worth a rabbit fart ...

Of course, but the Venezuelan economy is not 100% dependent on oil.

If the fall in prices was solely responsible for this inflation, why are the other major oil-producing countries not affected?

The different producing countries are all affected by the fall in crude, but depending on the agreements reached, financial reserves and production capacity, the situation can be very different, at least in the short term.
Some take advantage of it, like the USA which, although not the initiators of the movement (but only their indirect cause), has become a net exporter. The geostrategy that prevails in this area is not necessarily very clear, but it must be recognized that the lines evolve fairly quickly and it is probably not over ... the unknown in this area is the operating time US shale oil and gas operations ...

It doesn't work out: https://www.lexpress.fr/actualite/monde ... 66174.html

Venezuela: with the giant blackout, the country is sinking into chaos

Flights canceled, hospitals in difficulty, deserted streets, a giant blackout paralyzes a large part of the country.
Venezuela is bogged down in crisis. Work day and classes suspended, flights canceled, hospitals in slow motion, looting: the country is plunged into chaos by a giant power failure which puts the government of Nicolás Maduro under pressure. Faced with this situation, the authorities denounce a "sabotage" hatched by the United States.

The two rival leaders of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro and Juan Guaido, call on their supporters this Saturday to march through the streets of the country. The day before, the working day and the lessons were suspended "in order to facilitate the restarting of [the distribution of] electricity in the country, victim of the imperialist war on electricity", wrote on Friday on Twitter the Venezuelan vice-president Delcy Rodriguez.
