Gary Cohn, president and deputy chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs, received $ 85 million (79,2 million euros) in severance pay before joining his new post in the United States government.
Cohn received $ 20 million in compensation in 2016, down 5% from 2015, according to a stock market document.
Cohn announced his departure in December to work as an economic adviser to the White House. He had to sell his Goldman Sachs securities to avoid any conflict of interest, the whole representing a value of $ 65 million which was paid to him in cash.
The investment bank said it would also buy Cohn's shares in private equity and hedge funds managed by it.
According to a general meeting document, Cohn received more than $ 10 million on these investments in 2015.
