Purchasing power: small traders against supermarkets

by Christophe » 05/03/09, 11:37

How small retailers better respect the purchasing power of the customer than large retailers or how it contributes to the impoverishment of the French!

Excerpt from the show A la Carte 2 March 2009 to see here

Extract from the penultimate issue of Que Choisir in a dossier on the price of meat entitled: "Price of Meat, there's a bone"

It completes the little video above.

So Remundo? It's always the farmers who abuse?

There is a simple solution: the BOYCOTT of supermarkets!

(shit, I will still be treated as descending ...)

Well, I think that by "giving" € 1 to an artisan you create more GDP for France than by giving € 1 to a supermarket which has the means to largely tax exemption (in the broad sense) ... and above all you do live more people than by giving the same amount to a supermarket ...

So do not buy in supermarkets, on the contrary, it's good for growth!

I think you agree with this?

Ah yes maybe. But still do not confuse margin and price paid by the consumer Because pay 1 € bread saying that the baker is less margin than crossroads on his bread 0,8 €, well it always makes a difference 0,2 € for the consumer (I am nice to do the calculations anyway: p). So here we have to look at that too because when we have a family to feed, well ... the main principles we can leave them out and that's quite understandable.
As for the calculation on the GDP, I think you're going a little hard no? Be careful not to take shortcuts too easy.

OK but in this case, explain to us how it is "too easy as a shortcut"?

Apart from the fact that a euro given to large retailers makes live less than a euro given to a small trader, there is much more chance of capital flight (out of the territory therefore) in large groups than at home. the little artisans of the area, do not you think?
