Ultra low consumption orientation night light

by Christophe » 18/07/06, 23:22

Security lighting at very low energy consumption derived from space research.

Possible uses: security lighting for children's bedrooms, stairways, cellars, corridors ...

Very low power consumption: 0,1 W compared to conventional pilot lights from 5 to 7 watts.

Ultra low consumption night light

Hello,
Back from holidays : Mrgreen:
I knew this principle of lighting, but it seems to me that it does not date from yesterday !! in the 50s, we found behind the dial tube radios, (in some old photocopiers too, behind the screen), it only works in alternative and minimum 100V and the consumption is really ridiculous, it was a kind of enamel placed on a metal plate and with a diffuse electrode on the front part. (I still have 2 coming from photocopiers dimention + - 25cm by 7cm in 220vac, if it interests a handyman ....)

This is not because we always said that it is impossible that we should not try :)

Mmm I don't know if it's enamel it looks more like (to the touch)) a polymer ... quite hard. We did not manage to have more information concerning the technology used by Brennenstuhl ...:|

One thing is sure: it doesn't heat up at all ...

So yes there is a chance that it is the same technology ... although ours is not flexible while that of conrad seems to be ... To be continued

ps: edit following bad reading on Conrad (I had not seen the "-")
