In any case, the energizers here don't work too well: /

Yes dreamer, the energizers have been identified so as not to work well ...

The manufacturer says that it is because of internal change of materials of the batteries in order to constantly decrease the costs of production ... slack ...?

I made a small exchange of batteries at work ...
I put my dead batteries (like 0,2v see -0,05v) in the recuperator.
And I recovered batteries already present in the recuperator.

On about ten batteries, I recovered:
- 2 new batteries! ??? 1,56v
- 2 HS battery (0,2v, 0,05v)
- and the rest in battery to recharge (from 1,12v to 1,32v)

I also got a lithium battery (I should have been careful to get 2 for the charger) ... I'm going to see if it recharges, but I'm afraid it might go wrong;)

For various reasons we decided to stop working with the Batboostor.

It is replaced by this charger which seems to me to be just as powerful, which accepts all battery formats (with a "big" fan to cool the batteries well):

We will have to change the Pub banner for the shop in this case, the batboostor is in the lead :|

Successor of the Batboostor what about disposable batteries?

by billie » 08/12/08, 15:04

Hello Christophe and everyone, I dig up this post:

you speak of an abandonment of the Batboostor but we do not know if the new one "charges" the disposable batteries or not at all.
Thank you for the info.

Regarding the batboostor, it works very randomly and poorly with devices that need power. Not to mention the quite numerous (20 to 50%) and difficult to predict battery leaks and "blasts". It's quite disappointing but it allows you to recycle the batteries in alarm clocks and clocks where it seems to work well (be careful, it sometimes leaks several hours after recharging).

If it allows to regenerate disposable batteries (not too old, not too discharged ...) and exactly as you say (for devices not too powerful, clock style, weather station ... it's nickel!)

The advantage over the BB is that the new model checks and does not force the charge if the battery is not "regenerable" ...

Little question from a newcomer ... I just read the notice and here is what I read:

Insert only rechargeable NiCd or NiMH batteries. Trying to charge other types and non-rechargeable batteries may cause injury and damage the charger.

I was tempted to take one but I would like to know if the disposable batteries recharge well without risk and without damaging the charger ....
