Man is a consumerist rot ...

No comments: Virgin sales: "You behaved like rots"

The 13 may 2013 at midnight, via e-mails and social networks, the news spreads like a virus worthy of the zombies of Danny Boyle: the Virgin Megastore, in agony, announces 50% reductions over almost the entire store. Loyalty card holders receive additional 20%.

Simply another sign of a radically decadent society.

100% agree with remundo.

I would add: this is only a "high point" of our daily consumption.

Who thinks of Foxconn when he releases his Apple (recent pub: 50 billion app!).

Who thinks Bangladesh and its "factories" when he buys a T-shirt (I write this with my Adidas branded sweatshirt which I don't know where it comes from on my Asus whose ... Well, I return it: made in China, to my knowledge not Foxconn, but a subcontractor undoubtedly a little worse; because Foxconn must make some efforts, they are in the viewfinder; oh hey, it is made in Turkey, my sweatshirt - but it has about ten 'years ...

Yes, so except that there at Virgin it is a little more "spectacular", so a more conspicuous, the phenomenon is everywhere and we do not realize it ...

[I try to be a little decreasing; this year, for the first time in my life, I bought Mephisto shoes made in France to see if they last 3 times longer in which case their price would no longer be a handicap, just an investment; the table is made of natural wood made in Alsace but all the low-consumption edging is made in China; I got paid for a Bosch vegetable grinder made in ... Germany I think; I do not throw the ivy at those rats that run at Virgin's, they're just a little more fada]

Why incriminate "man" as a whole? This is an abusive generalization.
Moreover, those who behave in this way, are they not also victims? Is not there an easy way to take refuge in a moralising posture, well in tune with the times?

It's just, I hesitated to put "western" in the title but I would have been told that the Chinese or Japanese do not do better ...

In short, everything is a matter of time before becoming (a) rot? (Oh she is beautiful this one, will sell it to the Vatican!)
