External competition
Accessible to anyone holding a baccalaureate or equivalent, aged 17 to under 45 on January 1 of the year of the competition (unless exceptions*).
To register the candidate must:
hold a baccalaureate or equivalent or a level 4 diploma (formerly level IV);
be between 17 and under 45 on January 1 of the year of the competition;
be of French nationality;
be of good moral character, have a police record n°2 bulletin containing no mention incompatible with the exercise of the envisaged functions;
meet the physical abilities required during the medical visit; Refer to the decree of November 25, 2022 relating to the assessment of the specific health conditions required for the exercise of the functions relating to the bodies of active civil servants of the national police services, to download in the tab "Reference texts ";
be in good standing with the National Service, Defense and Citizenship Day (JDC, ex JAPD)
Persons over the age of 25 are exempted from their national service obligation and as such, no supporting documents are required from those concerned.
For people under 25 who have not completed their Defense and Citizenship Day, a provisional certificate of participation issued by the National Service Center must be provided.
