In your link:
Indeed, to open a right to unemployment, it is now necessary to have worked six months (instead of four previously) over the last 24 months. The measure applies to all active workers under the age of 53 whose contract ends on 1 December. “If you are seasonal, you will need two working seasons to receive unemployment, whereas only one was necessary before,” reads an article in Est Républicain.
They talk about 6 month picking contracts, so no worries in that case :!: :?:

They pay 50% more than foreigners, what is the reason? Lack of seriousness at work, pace not respected? Pole emploi which does not offer the offers?

At the same time, young French seasonal workers are appreciated in other countries. This is particularly the case in Australia where there is a work/tourism visa which requires a working period at the farm* minimum of 3 months for a stay of one year. This work is quite hard since it is organized according to weather conditions, so sometimes with consecutive working hours without intermediate rest days, in a climate that is sometimes uncomfortable.

* After this period, these young people may possibly work in other sectors.

I think, as your link shows, that the channel is more the temporary work agencies whose job it is to "fill in the gaps", than the job center which is not set up for that and for which it is not really the assignment.

The case of young French tourists abroad should not be compared to local offers, since the difficulty of this work is in no way compensated by the attractions of tourism.
To take the case of Australia, these rural jobs are very popular with Vietnamese who alternate a quarter of work with a past at home (the cost of transport is minimal), not for tourism, but to ensure their income.
