"Man is not the only thinking animal, but he is the only who thinks he's not an animal".Pascal Picq
we can also say that the human thinks he is the only animal that thinks.

Has Pascal Picq ever questioned an animal about this?

Animals know very well how to recognize their fellow creatures so they know that they are, in fact, animals... and it may be humans that they take for animals... : Mrgreen:

Cats, for example, have a superiority complex over humans, not in relation to mouse hunting (so it seems)! : Mrgreen:

Error of anthropocentric reasoning.

Instinctive recognition, linked to the senses, is not knowledge. The concept of "animal" is foreign to the animal. Animals know almost nothing, and even if they "knew" a little, they are incapable of transmitting their hypothetical knowledge (except marginally in higher primates). They cannot therefore, unlike humans, accumulate it from generation to generation.

And to think he wrote that over 150 years before it massively happened today.
Hats off, Dosto!

It was already widely topical in his time... it is a universal reflection.

This sentence is sloppy
with "Intolerance" the sentence would have been more understandable,
Or is it necessary to understand "such level" at a low level?

That's not what he says, since he speaks in the future tense.

On the contrary, she is very well dressed. It means that tolerance becomes the reason not to criticize anything, and to accept. Typical example: criticism of Islam becomes prohibited, since it would be a lack of tolerance, it would offend the believers, they tell us.

If tolerance means reason, choose the term.

Anyway, it's also imbitable, especially if you have to put paragraphs in it.

Your example with Islam is still demonstratively brilliant.

I'm waiting for the explanationAhmed.
At least, if I don't get it, I'll think it's normal :D

I was just pointing out that at all times, what he said is valid. Yesterday, today and tomorrow.

very very bad example as usual!
Islam, like any religious system or not accepts all constructive criticism. This should not be confused with a tiny minority of violent and intolerant people whom the mainstream media feast on, deliberately "forgetting" the tolerant majority which is not part of the "so they say": ad hominem! : Evil:
Example of intolerance: "fuck the unvaccinated" : Evil:
