Inequalities are part of all political discourse. Whether Obama, Macron or the Pope, everyone says they want to fight. So why are they continuing to progress? And why are they a problem for our democratic societies? Viens Voir les Docteurs offers you an inventory, with Clément Viktorovitch, surrounded by Anne Brunner, Julia Cagé and Lucas Chancel.

Re: inequalities and the financing of democracy
In France, we help the richest to buy their political influence.
We help the richest to guide the election results.
It's not a militant opinion. This is the objective result of research by economist Julia Cagé.
And it costs us tens of millions of euros every year.
In this video, we see how this hold-up is done and how we could change the system of financing political life to make it truly democratic.

Videos are probably good (not seen), but what I would be * more interested in is your own opinion, for example, to the first question?
* It is sincere and not a trap ...

Re: inequalities and the financing of democracy
my opinion is generally to be against those who have a strong opinion
especially in this period where the so-called "social" networks polarize all the debates
while the goal is to exchange points of view
what is the question ?
are we in a democracy?
From my point of view yes, but it can be improved ( the democracy )

Magnificent non-artistic "blur". But hey, since I read you, I've never seen you really get wet.

Re: inequalities and the financing of democracy
This is not a trap and by not believing me, but by discussing, you will understand it ...
The question was: why is inequality increasing? (which many claim to fight against is really subsidiary ...). And I'm not asking you for a "strong" opinion ...

Re: inequalities and the financing of democracy
Election of Donald Trump, rise in power of Viktor Orban, arrival to power of Matteo Salvini, then Jair Bolsonaro ... On all continents, we see figures appearing with authoritarian tendencies and speeches. So are we witnessing the twilight of liberal democracies? Clément Viktorovitch put the question to the philosopher Sandra Laugier, the historian Marc Lazar and the essayist David Djaïz. Welcome to this new episode of Come See the Doctors.
