Cogeneration in Ile-de-France document of the DRIRE IDF.
Ile-de-France, 1st region producing electricity by cogeneration. More than 22 GWh of electricity were produced in France in 860 by cogeneration facilities.
Ile-de-France alone produced 3 936 GWh, i.e. 17,2% of national production, thus ranking 1st region producing electricity by cogeneration, ahead of the Haute-Normandie regions (10%) , Rhône-Alpes (9,8%), Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur (9,6%) and Nord-Pas-de-Calais (9,6%).
In addition, nearly half of the electricity produced in the region comes from cogeneration, while this cogeneration sector represents, at national level, only 4% of electricity production.
In this particular regional context, the DRIRE has carried out a detailed study on the cogeneration fleet in Ile-de-France, the main results of which are presented here.
